The interview was very smoth. The officer did not as a single question. He voided my tourist visa, the K1 visa already expired, and a J1 visa which was expired as well. However, he said our file was not complete, it was missing all the K-1 visa paperwork that was taken away from me wen I came to the US, so he was not able to approve the case until he got that part, but he said he will do it. It took a week and a half since the intervew for him to approve the AOS. Other than that, out process wa svery smooth. |

My interview was easier than I expected. I was the first person this consul interviewed that day, since I scheduled my interview at the first time in the morning. The consul was a woman. She asked the basic stuff (in spanish) like who was my petitioner, where does he live, and if we had previous marriages, and how we met. As soon as I told her how we met, she asked me if being an aupair I studied english, to which i replied yes, and then the rest of the interview was in english, which made me feel as comfortable as I felt before. She asked me some things about my aupair experience, my longest stay in the US besides being an aupair, what my fiancé does for a living, when was the last time I saw him, if I had lived in another countries besides the US and Colombia, if I had any criminal records. At the end she told me my visa was approved and she gave the a piece of paper with my rights. She said I needed to be careful when I get into the US to make sure i get admitted with the K1 visa, instead of my tourist visa, since she did not cancel it, it is still valid.
It was easy and very quick. I was confident of my relationship and love. She did not asked me to show her any of the evidence I brought with me. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
