My flight was Rio x Toronto and did not know my K1 package would be opened there, since everyone says it can only be opened in the US. I was very nervous when the officers told me it would be opened in Toronto. I asked about it and they said it was considered USA already, so I tried to keep calm. The interview went good and the officer was nice. He asked how long the relationship was and who were some people on the pictures provided in the package. After that my passport was stamped. Do not forget to turn off your phone once you are in the immigration room! |

My AP was approved on April 1st and my trip to Brazil was booked for May 11th. In early May I was already very worried with the delivery delay of this document and decided to book an Info Pass appointment with the USCIS to request urgency since my trip was comming soon. The appointment was on May 6th and I also took the time to talk about my AOS interview because it was scheduled for May 24th, and I would not be in the US on this date. The USCIS officer not only said she would expedite an AP for me before I travel if need be but also arranged the AOS interview for the same day - May 6th! I left USCIS ready to travel with a stamp om my passport and my green card is being processed! |

I received my 10 year green card prior to my expectations. I only had the biometrics taken, the interview was not necessary. |

The interview was quick and objective. I did not have any problems. My fiance was with me. The consul only asked how we met, I explained it in Portuguese and the visa was approved. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
