Consulate Review: France
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : April 29, 2015
Embassy Review : My appointment was scheduled at 1pm, I showed up at 12:45 and was able to walk in.

The security was friendly as always but the person who was in charge of gathering all my documents (window 5) was not friendly AT ALL, I even heard people complaining of her attitude. She didn't want my affidavit of support and any other proof of relationship, then she told me that the photo ID were not printed on the right paper which is false, I had them printed at a photographer...

I was told to sit down and wait to be called for the interview. (waited 4 hours and a half..) I was interviewed by a different person (a very nice one this time) and only ask me 3 questions: "Where did you met?" "How many times did you saw each other?" "Have you every been to the U.S?" and to finish "Congratulation your interview went well the interview probably lasted less than 5 minutes. (BTW I asked her if my photo ID were acceptable, she said they were fine...)

It was stressful because the waiting felt endless and there was a guy right before me who got denied and started freaking out.. BUT I'm really happy and relieved.

Sorry If the review sounded whiny but this is my honest experience.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
