Embassy Review : |
My fiance appointment was at 7:30 AM. His experience on the interview process was exactly as it was discribed from all the other members here on VisaJourney. Although, he stated that he was interviewed by 4 people.
The questions that they had asked him are as follow:
1. Who is you petitioner?
2. Birthday of petitioner?
3. How did you meet?
4. Where does your petitioner work?
5. What is your petitioners position at work?
6. Where does your petitioner live?
7. When was the last time you've seen eachother?, etc...
At this point he was confident but still nervous as we discussed the common questions that they would ask before his interview. When he went to his last interview they asked additional questions regarding my family members (mainly my mother and father.)
Here are the questions that they asked:
1. What is your petitioners mother and father's full name?
2. Does your petitioner live with her mother? (I felt that this was a tick question as I stated that in one of the documents that I am the only one in the house hold since I live alone.)
3. When did your petitioners father pass away? The exact Month, Date and Year?
4. Where does your petitioners mother live?
Many of the people there stated that it is better to have the petitioner present as it seems that they are first to be interviewed and done quicker but not required.
All in all his hardest interview was of course the very last one. Once his interview was done he was unsure if he passed. He had ask for his passport and they told him to pick it up in a couple of weeks. He will be emailed if there are any additional information required. He then asked if he passed and they said yes. He was so excited and unsure that he asked several people if he had passed..he!he!..how cute...
His sister was waiting outside for him the whole time. When he came out he ran to his sister and lifted her up with joy because he passed. If I had to do it all over again (which I do not wish..he!he!) I would have planned to be there on his interview.
Now waiting for his visa to be issued...another wait... |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
