I had my appointment at 10am, there was a huge line but just for tourist visa, so I just walked to the front and asked to the helping lady what should I do, I told her I was there for my K1 visa, she said I should wait in line #3 and someone else will help me, after 5 minutes a guy asked my name and find me in the list he already had, and gave me a green sticker, after that he said i need the papers in the following order: DS-160 confirmation page, Birth certificate, criminal records (Pasado Judicial), medical exams, Affidavit of support I-134, passport and 2 pictures. after pass the security point I was in, and a second lady asked me if I had all the documents in order, I said yes, so she said I could go and do the line in the window #4, there were just 4 people so it was pretty quick, the lady behind the glass asked me to leave all the documents in a envelope she got me and she started to asked me questions over the phone, she checked my case number and bring it, it was a big file :D, after that she said, everything is perfect Im just missing a letter of intend, Robbie and I made a recent one, just the same letter of intend you sent with the I-129 but with a recent date, I told her I had it so I give it to her, and everything was ready, so she said the consul was going to call me in a few minutes, after 10 or 15 minutes, an eternity to me, I heard my name and the consul called me to the window # 5, over the phone we started the interview, she asked how Robbie and I met, when was the last time I saw him and when was the last time he visited Colombia, and she gave me back the pictures we sent the first time, after that she said CONGRATULATIONS YOUR VISA HAS BEEN APPROVED!!!!. I said thanks and call my mom and Robbie with the good news. I was out by 11:30am.
Everything is easy if you have all the papers! ![](wink.gif) |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
