Comments : Do not use registered mail to have your passport returned to you from the Consulate in Frankfurt. Bring a prepaid DHL Express Marke (21.90 Euros) instead. Our envelope was lost and even a postal investigation didn't turn up the envelope. Then (luckily), the envelope was returned to the Consulate stating that it was never picked up. We, of course, had never gotten a notification that it needed to be picked up. Thrilled that everything turned up again, but registered mail cannot be trusted at all with these sensitive papers. If they're lost, the postal service has no clue where to look and will only give you 27.95 Euros reimbursement.

Biometrics Taken : Yes
Harassment Level : 0
Comments : Immigration officer was courteous and humorous. Everything was simple and quick, took all but 5 minutes.
(What we didn't know and weren't asked about was the payment of the immigration fee to get the actual green card produced. We found out later when nothing arrived in the projected time and called USCIS. SSN was also not produced automatically as requested and offered on form and we had to visit the social security office in person to get things on the way. Both cards have since arrived.)

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
