Embassy Review : |
Before I begin I want to let you guys know that its God who perfected it all! Speak what you want and so shall it be.I personally asked God how I want my interview to go and it's amazing how God hears us. He made us a king in heavenly places!! Just have that at the back of your mind.
Here it goes....
Couldn't sleep the whole night woke up 2:30am prayed fervently then showered about 3:30am( I know it's too early and crazy) but hey that's what this journey does to one lol.
I booked a metro cab before this day for 5:30am but the cab guy rang me up bout 4:45am that his on his way, I was like cool,I might as well leave the house 5am becos of traffic even though I didn't meet any on my way at that time.
Got to the Embassy was surprised to see a lot of people. About 6:15am or so they asked all 6:30am appt to line up then 7am appt( immigrant) to line in another..I tell u guys we are treated specially. I was number 1 in line for immigrant visa but when we got in it was a different case lol.
I got into the waiting area about 7:30am was called to a window almost immediately I was asked for my passport pix, int'l passport, photocopy of my marriage certificate and the ticket& form given to me at the gate outside to fill out.
Then the waiting begins.... Luckily i had a lil 4year old girl that sat on my lap while we sang "twinkle twinkle little star" loll and that really kept me at ease. I had this guy seating beside me, think his wife filed for him ,his number was called but fortunately he was in the toilet for a while so i was called instead that was about 10am by this black lady with sort of dreadlocked hair( very friendly) it was jus two CO interviewing up until I left.
QUESTIONS ASKED:
CO: Raise ur right hand "Do u swear to tell the truth today?"
ME: Yes
CO: Who filed for u
ME: My husband gave his name
CO:where does he live in the U.s
ME: answered
CO: where did u meet
ME: answered
CO: Hw did u meet
ME: answered
CO: was ur husband married b4
ME: answered
CO: were u married b4
ME: answered
CO:does he have kids? Do u have kids?
ME: answered
CO: ok I'm gonna approve u (gave me a white paper with a circled address of where to pick my visa up next wk)
ME: thank u!! So What do I tell my husband
CO: Oh tell him uv been approved *smiles*
ME: Godbless u and thank u
CO: UWC
All my documents, NONE WAS ASKED!!!
In all I give God the glory and count on him he would surely do it for u! Isaiah 60 assured me he would Neva leave me!!
Listen, as long as u know who u are married to or engaged to ...u r good to go!
This is so straight fwd, fun and easy but the waiting for your number to be called is so scary but hey I'm soooo happy!!
Came out called my husband who was awake "night vigil"as he called it lol ..gave him d good news and heard that cute excitement in his voice..melted my heart as we have come a very long way.
Thank u VJ for all ur help and support and most importantly I give a mighty thank you to my heavenly father he made it possible! HALLELUJAH!!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
