Consulate Review: New Delhi, India
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : June 14, 2013
Embassy Review : The experience was extremely great. I get there at 8:15 and entered the immigrant line. After talking with the Indian workers, I waited for the actual interview. My number was called and was greeted by a male officer. He had no smile on his face and was extremely intimidating.
I was asked three questions:
What is your husband's name?
What does he do for work?
How many people attended the wedding?

He then handed me a paper and told me my passport would arrive within 10 business days. I was shocked because it took less than 30 seconds and the workers mentioned that it was one of the quickest interviews they had seen. My husband sent all of the paperwork ahead of time as far as the evidence is concerned. Photos, phones records, etc. The officer probably made up his mind and wanted a few verification in person.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
