Questions asked at POE:
1. How did you meet
2. How long have you known your fiancee?
3. Do you have pictures? I still had all the evidence for the embassy interview, so had to review with the immigration official at POE.
Took about 15 minutes for them to review paperwork and my pictures of us together. |

Embassy Review : |
My fiancée arrived at 715 for her 730am appt. you don't have to wait in line, a staff member is outside directing immigrant applicants to the front of the line and into security. Security will take their camera and phone which can be picked up at exit. She came out six hours later, with a 221g for not having correct Thai post reciept(which we provided next day....need actual white reciept not Thai post form). Now approved!!!
She said there about 12 ladies waiting for interview, and in the morning only one CO doing the interviews. In the afternoon they added an additional CO. Interviews were averaging 30-45 minutes each. There are about 12 bank teller like windows which you go stand at for the interview, IV applicants are directed to number 6. Questions asked included:
1. How did u meet?
2. What is your fiancé name?
3. Looking at pictures asked question about my 19 year old daughter she meet last month. What is her name, where does she live, what does she do?
4 do you plan to have children with him?
5. Where does your fiancé live?
6. What is your fiancé favorite Thai food?
7. How do you communicate(thailish was her response, making CO laugh)
Overall a good experience. Your fiancée can clarify questions in Thai and CO will respond in Thai, which was a big relief for her. Fiancée always answered question in English in the end though. She said the ladies she waited with commented he was very professional, thorough, but had a "good heart." Other than 6 hour wait outside the embassy, a good experience. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
