Arrived at Logan during the evening on a tuesday. We were seated on row 12, and the plane was not even full so we were first in line for non US passports. Usually that can be quite a line. I already had my K1 packet with me, but I barely had time to put away my phone before we got to the booth.

Friendly officer, he asked for our passports and pictures. My kids have US passports, and when he was handling mine (Norwegian) he said "I see you have a lot of paperwork with you" and I said "Yes sir, got a whole K1 packet for you". He had to ask the officer next to him if they even do K1s there and the other guy just said yeah no problem. Most of the time he spent looking for a pen and finding the right page (I think he was looking for my DS160 in there). He could not find a pen, and actually asked me for one. I had one in my purse so I handed it to him and he signed my passport and papers. He took a quick look at my kids' passports and then he sent us on our way. No questions, no hassle. I felt pretty good, and obviously very excited. =)
