Landed at IAD around 3:30 pm. Immigration took some time as there were two flights arriving at the same time.
MY USC spouse was with me and we were asked some questions at the initial counter like where’d I learn English and what level of education I had. He also filled out our declaration form for us by asking the amount of money we were carrying and if there were any gifts etc. But nothing tough. Then sent us to the secondary area.
We waited around half an hour for my name to be called in the secondary area. And the officer just called our name and sent us on the way. I had to get the address changed so asked him to do that and then we left, no problem.
Overall no issues, it just took time (around 2 hours) as the airport was busy-ish.
