Gip arrived at LAX from Bangkok via Manila at around 8:00 PM PDT. Her connecting flight was to be at 11;55 PM PDT. She called me and said that clearing immigration and customs took so long that she missed the connecting flight. She said that there were a lot of people in there, One would think that nearly 4 hours would be enough...
She said once she got to the immigration officer, he asked for her packet. Then, he asked her what was my name, and if she knew what she had to do. She gave him my name and told him, yes we must get married in 90 days. He stamped her passport and welcomed her to the USA.
I had to book another flight for her, and she will now be arriving 6 hours later than planned.
