Adjusting from K1. My wife and I contacted an interpreter a month before our interview (Spanish) through Language Connection PDX, would definitely recommend their rates are the best we found. The interpreter was kind on time and helpful. Our interview slot was 930, however we ended up interviewing closer to 10:15.

We were all called in together. We took the oath and sat down. The officer requested identity documents which we provided both our state ID the beneficiary's passport. First questions were demographic in nature asking my wife her address full name phone number. My wife did not recall our zip code or her phone number and the officer seemed OK with this.

The next questions were directed at my wife the inadmissibility questions from the I485 this was a slog.

Finally we moved on to questions about our relationship the officer asked me my wife's parents name I could not recall her father's name and the officer seemed OK with this She asked about our timeline and indicated that either of us could answer these questions so I took the lead and spoke about a relationship and some of the trips we've taken the time we've spent together and how I proposed. The officer asked about our future plans and we explained that we were eager to get back to Peru to visit my wife's family but we also plan to take other trips.

The officer smiled thanked us and said that she would be approving our application.

The officer asked if we had any additional documents for her to upload and consider. I told the officer that I had uploaded documents to the portal prior to our interview and she was elated. She told me she wished that more people would do this.

A few days later we received our approval. I was very nervous going into it and I felt much more at ease after some casual conversation with the officer.
