Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

We came 45 minutes before the interview. From the entrance, the security asked for my ID and interview appointment letter (I separate this already so it's easy to access, I use my Texas DL as ID). After that, we will have to go through security checks just like the airport. All have to be put through x-ray. My husband have to take off his belt and some other person have to take off his shoes and a lady have to take off her boots (no boots ppl!).
We directed to a 2nd person who again scan the interview letter and directed us to several booths where another officer took the ID and the interview letter. He then, took my picture and fingerprints as well. Wrote down some numbers on the interview letter, and direct us to the stairs to the 2nd floor where we gave our interview letter and waited in this huge hall with several ppl.
In this room we waited nearly 1 hr. But we were there early. Basically we got our turn for interview like 30-35 mins after our scheduled time.
At the interview they asked for:
1. My EAD &SSN
2. Original Birth certificate (mine)
3. My husband's driving license
4. My passport
5. Other documents that we want to submit (we add joint financial stuff and tax reports, my husband's latest paystub).
6. Additional pictures (she only asked 5).
I have to add, I actually already uploaded all of these documents before the interview to my USCIS account. It's a great tip.
We got to say some oath to say the truth and then the interview began.
The interview went very smoothly, no surprise questions. We just told our story and she didn't ask a lot of questions. It was a surprise when she said she's about to go for a holiday to my country, Indonesia in 2 months. So we talked a bit about that too (where to go what to do).
And then she asked me questions about the i-485 the whole background check crime questions.
It took roughly one hour for us, but it's not because it's difficult but because we have a really pleasant conversation with her.
I was nervous to the point I wanted to puke before the interview, but it's really nothing to worry about (my experience).
It's just really be honest and prepare the documents well.
At the end, I asked if I am approved she said she can't say anything but she said looking at all the documents submitted, she said it will be positive results coming in next few weeks.
