So all of the horror stories online are scaremongering tactics.
I had my interview today and I had literally nothing to be nervous about.
I went and I was an hour early so I grabbed a coffee to calm my nerves. I went back at the time I was told to return and I bypassed the not so long queue (my interview was at 11.30, so I guess this wasn’t peak time).
I was so nervous I hadn’t realised my number was already up at the booth and I has to go to the bathroom to throw up. I calmed myself down and went ahead to the booth. The lady who served me was really nice, demure. She took my paperwork asked me a few questions and then told me my paperwork was fine and to wait for my number to be called again for my interview.
I would say I waited probably no longer than an hour to be seen by the interviewing officer. She was a bubbly, bright spirited soul. She had a good energy. She asked me to swear on oath that all I told her was the truth.
Don’t read too much into what is said online. The officer will know if you and your relationship is genuine. So just be cool and don’t work yourself up into a frenzy like I did.
