Went to the US Embassy in Montreal at 7:00 am. There was already 3 other VJ-er's there!

At exactly 7:30 AM they opened the door to let you enter the building. You get called in one by one. Enter the door, hand your payment proof and passport to the lady working at the desk. She will give you a laminated paper with a number on it. It will also give you instructions on what order to have your stuff in.

Then I was advised to enter the "scanning" room where they put your objects through a scanner. I was allowed to keep my wallet with me while my iPhone and car keys we're put into the filing cabinet behind the desk. You will be given a receipt. DO _NOT_ LOSE YOUR RECEIPT. You will need it when you are leaving and want to get your stuff back.

I was told to go down the steps and enter the room and arrange my files in order. (Honestly it could be ignored as later the person who will take your files later will ask them in a total different order so re-arranging them is pointless.)

Then while "re-arranging" your documents you will get told to line up and enter the elevator. Once there I just sat down and waiting for my number to be called. Once called I went to the window that I was called to and the first thing the officer asked for was my passport. Then I was asked for payment proof. Then I was asked for Passport Photos, then intent to marry letter, then RCMP criminal record check, and then I-134 & supporting documents. After this I had to scan my finger prints and then go sit down again.

Next I was called to the "interview stage" where you go talk with the nicest officers of them all in my opinion. The one I got was extremely nice and very pleasant to talk to. I was not expecting such a nice person at all. She made this stage seem like it was more of a conversation then an interview. Explained how I met my fiance, how long we have known each other, if I have ever had any drug problems and that was pretty much it, she reached for a pink paper and handed me it and said Welcome to the United States! And off I went. It took 9 months to get here and oh hell yeah it was worth it! Can't wait to get my passport and fly to see my fiance
