I had my interview at may 3rd.
My interview was scheduled for 7am, and i got there at 6:20, at 6:40 they started calling people with appointments from 7 to 7:30.
I was in line no.1 for inmigrant visa and k1, and someone asked me for mine and my petitioner original birth certificate, my passport, police certificate and photos.
I went in and two ladies asked for the same documents again and instructed me to go to the window where someone checked all this documents and asked for my original marriage certificate and medical exams envelope and also asked who was petitioning me.
After that the lady in the window instructed me to go back to the 2 ladys in the table who gave me a card with a turn number, and instructed me to go sit and wait where the interview will be held.
At 8am they started interviewing, I was fourth in line.
About 8:05 I got called.
The interview started with the consul asking me if it was ok to have the interview in english, I said no problem, then he asked me to take an oath that everything I say and provide was truthful. Then he handed me the the family violence abuse info, (Inside me I was like am Ialread approved?)
He spent more time reviewing information on the computer and randomly asked questions like:
- what's the longest I've been in the us
-My name and who was petitioning me
-Have I ever have trouble with police (asked twice in the interview)
-Have I lived abroad before. (Asked twice too)
*he stand with some papers went away and came back
-asked who was my co-sponsor(father in law)
Asked how I met my husband, how long we been married and how was our dating, how many times he visited me.
After all that, he proceed to cancell the 2 visas I already had (B1/B2 and C1/D) then he stand again with some papers and came back and told me congratulations your visa have been approved.
During all the interview I was very confident because he had from the beginning in the desck the letter saying congratulations Beverly bla bla bla. I was like well they had this decided long time ago....
He gave me the instructions to pay for the uscis green card fee and told me my passport would be ready to pick up in a week.
The interview took about 20 to 25 mins.
I left and paid 2 hours after the interview, I checked the ceac status and it said administrative processing and I got scared, but at 2 pm I checked again and it said Issued.
