Interview 25/04/2019.
I arrived an hour early so just hovered around the front until 8.50 when i joined the Que, got to the desk asked for my passport and ds-160 confirmation page.
Next stage is security processing.
After this you walk up to the main embassy, there may be a Que outside (1 line or 2) but as you are a k1 visa you are going to stay to the left for american citizen services, and walk straight up to the reception desk and say your a k1 visa. DO NOT QUE.
You then go up to the first floor and turn left and turn left again (you bypass all the non-immigration visas)
You'll come to a seating area, keep an eye on the screens for your number.
1st booth - asked for DS-160 and passport, took fingerprints, took birth certificate, police certificate and support of affidavit. (i didnt take copies just originals)
He told me to sit back down and wait for my number to be called again.
2nd booth - Nice gentleman, asked me to say the oath and took fingerprints again.
Questions -
How did you meet your fiance?
Did he work at the camp?
Have you seen each other since then?
Have you been to the states on another visa other than a j? i answered yes a B2 for over 5 months, he asked no longer than 6? i said nope.
When do you plan to get married?
Everything looks great I'm happy to approve your visa today!!!!
It was so quick and painless i couldn't believe it, i was in an out the embassy in about 50 minutes.
