She had an amazingly easy interview at the US Embassy in Manila. I accompanied her to witness the whole thing. We spent a lot of time gathering photos and back-and forth messages, documents having both our names on it (title on car I bought us, rental lease). Also, I had a very detailed Affidavit of Support document. Well at her interview they didn't ask for any of that...just some standard "how did we meet", "how many times I come to visit", "where do we plan to live in the US". One thing, however, and I'm glad I was there as I was asked to come to the interview counter to clear up if I was a resident or not. I have visited my fiancé around 15+ times since 2010 so the interviewer thought I might be a resident. I'm recently retired (as of 2017) so between coming twice a year while I was working, then staying longer on extended visa visits I guess that raised some concern. The interviewer never asked to see my passport stamps or visas, just wanted clarification. After that, she said our K-1 visa would be approved. I guess it depends who interviews you and how my girlfriend and I present ourselves...properly dressed, relaxed and friendly.
Great experience aside from the normal line waiting!! Yay! :-)
