Had my interview on the morning of 26th Nov. It was a good experience.
Was asked to produce print out of DS-260 and passport upon arrival to booth outside embassy, after that we were instructed to wait to one side with other people there for immigrant visas (we were a bit early). A few minutes later we were all waved in. I went through security and joined the visa queue. We didn't jump the queue as others have said they did, none of us getting immigrant visas were told to do it.
It was a short wait though and we got to the front desk, which checked our passports again.
After going upstairs you go up to the booths twice, first time to submit documents: DS-260 print out, passport, birth certificate, police certificate, a photo (which was returned after it was scanned) and the courier document. The only thing they kept was the passport. I was also given a CD of my chest x-ray by them.
After documents are photocopied I waited to be called up again. There they asked about how we met, when we last spent time together, my trips to the US, some personal background questions about me - it didn't feel like you were being challenged or that they're trying to catch you out in some way.
In and out in about an hour all in all. They said I will get my passport back in 7 - 10 working days.
