Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

My husband just had his interview on the 13th, so I wanted to write about it before I forgot. I had traveled to London for moral support, and honestly the interview was the easiest part of the whole thing, as a lot of people have been saying.
Our interview was scheduled for 11:30, so we arrived to the Embassy and went to the coffee shop behind the Waitrose for a bit - then around 10:40 we went over to check in - I thought I would have to go back to the coffee shop but the lady sitting outside said I could go in with my husband, so she just asked for my ID as well. We went in and it was basically empty - we went right through metal detectors and then they checked us in at another desk and gave us the interview number. We went up to the next level to the immigrant visa section and there were only two other people in there. Got called right up to the window where a lovely gentleman from Missouri did his best to make us comfortable - I was standing there for everything. He asked us only for the originals of our marriage certificate and his birth certificate, and of course his passport. Everything else is already in the system since it's all electronic.
David asked to use the restroom and the guy said he could, but that if he didn't "really" have to go to wait, because he was about to be called back up again. So instead we waited, he was called to a different window about a minute later and a nice lady made him take the oath that everything was accurate, she asked us how we met, and then that was it, she said he was approved and once they received his medical information he would have his visa.
David asked for his passport back as we have an 8 week delay with our medical results, and she handed it right back to him and gave him instructions on how to resubmit it. SUPER SUPER easy, we were probably in and out in 20 minutes maximum.
