Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

On October 10th 2018 I had my Interview for spouse visa.
My actual appointment was for 11 am but me being super nervous, I went up there at around 10.40/10.45 and just hoped it will be fine.
Since I read, that they don't like and allow bags in, I didn't bring one and had just my papers and other evidence in a folder. My phone was allowed.
After security check, I was escorted to window 5 where a really nice man was already waiting for me. He asked me for my passport, the doctors results, the passport style pictures and 3 documents ( birth certificate, marriage certificate, as well as police clearance)
He then asked me if he's correct that I wanted to pick up the passport instead of having it delivered and I said yes.
Then I waited for about 30 minutes until a woman called me to window six.
I had to take an oath and she then asked me 5 questions: When did you get married? How did you meet? Since when has he been living in Austria? Does he already have a job lined up? Are you going back to St. Louis? Then she said that she happily approves our visa and gave me the sheet about domestic violence. Then I had to sit down again and waited to be called up one more time. I then went to window 5 again and the guy from the beginning congratulated me as well and told me that they will send me an email when my passport with the visa will be ready. Then I left.

5 days later, I got an email that I can pick up my passport between Monday and Friday 8.30-11-30. Due to personal reasons I had to be in Vienna that day anyways and I emailed them if I could pick up the passport on that day even tho it was after 11.30.
They got back to me very quickly and told me that I should just come in and pick up the passport.
I went to the embassy and they were super nice again. Let me keep my bag there because it was just a quick pick up, I got my passport, some instructions and they reccommended me not going before our second wedding anniversary because that would save us so much money since we would only have to wait 2 months. Then I was done, I had my visa and a very pleasant experience with the embassy
