Review Topic: K1 Visa

Had my K1 Fiancé visa interview 20th July 2018 all my worrying was for nothing! Honestly, the most friendly, relaxed atmosphere. (I now believe everyone who said it previously LOL)

My appointment was at 11:30am, I got to the Embassy 10:20am and sat by the water surrounding the embassy with my Mum before she headed off to wait for me.
At 10:50am I walked to the entrance, a nice friendly girl told me to come back earliest at 11:10am, so I sat back on some benches and waited.
Went back up at 11:10am and she let me through to airport style security. I had a small backpack and a folder of all my documents, (had to take my Pandora bracelet off but earrings and engagement ring was kept on) no issues, went through and walked upto 3 roped lines saying where to stand depending on your time of appointment. There was no staff there so myself and 2 other people were confused and waited for someone to notice us LOL which they did within 5 minutes.
Walked through, given a ticket number stuck on my appointment email and then directed to go to level 1, turn left, then left again.

Sat down and within a minute my number was called (time now was 11:20ish) - Went to the booth as directed and a friendly american lady had small chat about where im moving, how much snow Massachusetts gets LOL and then she started asking me questions and asking for the relevant documents to the answers such as: passport sized photograph, birth certificate, ACRO police certificate, affidavit of support and any extra financial evidence from my fiancé (I gave her his employer letter, W2, IRS tax transcript, last 2 payslips, I offered a letter from his bank but she said that's not needed and what was given was absolutely fine)
She then took my finger prints, 4 fingers first then 2 thumbs. Also gave me back my chest x-ray from my medical and told me to keep it safe and take with me when i move. She asked me when im planning on moving also. Then she said okay take a seat and wait for your number to be called again for your interview.

Time now was around 11:35ish and there was 5 other people sitting around me with close numbers, we seemed to all be waiting for the one consular officer interviewing our area that day.
Around 30 mins passed and I was called, at this point I had no nerves atall, I think because of how relaxed the first lady made me feel.

Went to the booth, a really lovely friendly toned american guy began my interview, first he said lets start with the oath, listened to what he said and held my right hand & said yes.

Then the 'interview' started, it was honestly more of a general conversation, almost like telling a new friend you had just met about your relationship, very laid back and fluent conversation; questions he asked were -
How did we meet and when?
When did we meet in person?
Have I been to the USA and how many times?
How many times has Jake been to the UK?
What was my longest trip to the USA and when?
Where is Jake from?
What does Jake do for a living?
When do I plan on moving?
Just as I finished my last answer, he said, "I've just approved your visa, it will be with you within 2 weeks" I said "Brilliant, thank you so much!" he said "Your welcome"

He was constantly nodding and looking at his screen when i was answering the questions, it was such a painless interview and i cant believe i was out just over an hour in total! If your relationship is genuine than you dont sweat it at all!
