i stayed in a hotel that's so close to US embassy in Manila. A day before my much awaited interview, i checked the place, which way to go and wait and other things for me to familiarize the area. 6:45 AM was my scheduled time so i was there 6:00. Numerous people already gathered in the waiting area. at exactly 6:45, a Filipino embassy staff called out those who are scheduled for 6:45 and i'm quick enough to be 5th in line. She ushered us in the first gate for double checking of appointment letter and their list. Soon enough i'm already inside. I'm nervous, excited and sweating in the cold US embassy. First step was a nice Filipino staff that check my papers (CENOMAR, NBI clearance etc..) Next was an American staff for finger printing. I'm so nervous that i felt like i gonna collapse anytime LOL..After e few review in my papers and obviously saw my birth date, he joked that he felt bad that he's not invited in my birthday 2 days earlier. That made me relax a bit. I always visualized that embassy staff are stern and serious and smiling is a BIG NO!!! But i was wrong. Now the last and final window. In front of me was an old lady that needs an interpreter so i'm sure it'll take a while for them to finish her interview. i'm glad i can breath a bit before facing the final judgement LOL, but suddenly one of the window opened and the usher told me to go. The gentleman review my papers and typing in his computer. (Man, i've been preparing this interview for like 2 months and i can memorized every detail of our relationship even the time when we first said "hi" with each other including my fiance's entire family names and birthdays including his car plate number....Now everything is playing in my brain but i'm not prepared enough for his question). "So Miss *****, tell me something about Mr. **** that isn't written here in your application. I was like ..wow.. i stammered at first but i answered his question from the bottom of my heart and sure enough, he congratulated me and told me to wait for my visa after 7-10 working days.. I'm felt awesome and want to shout but i didn't. He might change his mind and denied me LOL...The whole process was gruelling but worth it..by 7:30, i was back in the hotel and called my fiance and told him the good news . The US embassy in Manila is very organize and fast.
