My allotted interview time was 7:30 AM on June 13, 2017.

You have to form a queue outside the consulate for all immigrant Visa applications. I reached there at about 6:43 AM and they allowed the applicants to form queue at around 6:45. I was between 35-40 in that queue. We were then advised to keep our Interview appointment letter, DS-260 confirmation page and passport handy. They checked the forms and then we're slowly let into consulate compound and advised to wait in the shedded area outside the facility where they take interview.

We were let into the interview area at around 7:10 AM. They Consular assistant then advised us to get all the necessary documents out and handy instead of keeping them in folders. The windows started opening at around 7:15 AM. They first verify Interview appointment letter, DS-260 confirmation page and passport and asked us the preferred language for interview. They then give us the token number.

After receiving token number, we wait for our token to be called. At this stage, they only verify our documents and the packet they received from NVC and check whether anything is missing. They will ask you for any remaining documents and verify the details from your DS-260 application which we submitted. We were then given "Immigrant rights and Domestic Violence" pamphlet and advised to wait until we are called for interview. This stage was done by 7:45 AM.

They started calling for interview at about 7:55 AM. They first started calling people who selected their regional language for interview. I was called for interview at around 8:55 AM.

A. Answered.

She kept on typing all through out the questionnaires and after the last question, she typed for a while and at the end she said "This here is approved. Congratulations!". Then she gave me the instructions for how to collect passport and how to pay Immigrant Visa fees. I was out of consulate at 9:15.

Overall very good experience. Very helpful staff and nice environment. No cafeteria inside. Avoid bringing any backpacks as well. They allowed some to carry but it depends on who is on duty at the time. No phones or any electronic items allowed inside.
