My husband had his interview in Mumbai on May 18, 2015 and total time from entry to finish was about 2 hours. He submitted the initial documents necessary and waited for his number to be called. His appt was for 7:30. He was finally called to speak with the CO around 9:15. He was a young American genteleman, sitting alone, no translator or other person of Indian origin was seated with the CO. The first thing he commented on was the organized paperwork and he said he had no questions on any of that as it was perfect! (Yay!) He only asked about 5 questions and all dealt with our previously denied K1 from 2012, which was - were we married previously? My husband answered "No, we were married in January 2014" and at first the CO said he didn't believe him and to go sit and they will call him up later to ask the questions again. My husband said, that's fine, if you call me in 5 minutes or 5 hours, my answers will remain the same. After a little wait, he was called to the CO window a 2nd time and again asked if we were married before. Again, my husband stated no, we were married in January 2014. The CO looked unbelieving. My husband said "why would I marry with the same girl twice?" The CO typed for quite awhile on his computer, asked for the 2014 tax transcript and asked what proofs my husband brought with him. He told him he had boarding passes, hotel bills, phone logs, Skype screen shots, emails, photos, greeting cards etc and asked if he wished to see anything. The CO said no, that's ok, it's fine. He typed again and finally looked up and said to my husband "You're approved". My husband was so happy and relieved. He also said that even though the CO was unsure and said he didn't believe him at first - he still felt like he would be approved just based on the CO's demeanor. The CO never got mean, nasty or yelled - which was a complete opposite situation than the K1 interview experience! He was very good and professional with my husband. Finally! It's been a long 5 1/2 years apart!
