I entered the U.S. on an IR1 visa through Atlanta International Airport. I arrived around 9 PM, so there weren’t many people at immigration. Since it was my first entry, I went through the line for foreign nationals — the other line was for U.S. citizens, Canadians, and green card holders.
The CBP officer didn’t ask many questions, just “Who is your wife?” and “Do you have a packet for me?” I handed him the documents I had, but he didn’t even look at them. He just told me everything was fine. I asked if he would stamp my passport, and he said no, that it wasn’t necessary.
So I assume that now, my IR1 visa has been activated and serves as the temporary I-551 (proof of permanent residency).

Entry into the USA was swift and welcoming. The Immigration Officials were professional and friendly.

We had a great experience entering in Atlanta on a K-1. I traveled back to the US with my fiancé, and the officers allowed me to go to the back office with him. The "interview" area is just on the other side of the baggage claim, so it's a very short walk.
We waited just a couple minutes before they called him up to the counter. They asked if he was aware that we'd have to get married within 90 days, wrote down the date we'd need to be married by on his visa, and that was it! The entire process took less than 5 minutes.

Atlanta took all of maybe 5 minutes: landed, got the passports, CD and visa packet and both of us went through the US citizen line. There were no lines at 1015am. Both of us went through the US citizen's line. I went first and said, "...US citizen but she's K1." The officer was very friendly...he called over an assistant and put her documents into a yellow folder (we kept CD) and we followed over to a small desk. The officer took the documents and said, "You have until November to marry...any questions?" 5 minutes later we were on shuttle to my car. The longest amount of time was getting the luggage.

My POE was at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, and I went through the citizen line with my fiancé (petitioner). When it was our turn, I told the officer I was here on a K1-Visa and handed him my packet and medical CD. He took my passport and the only he thing he asked was if we were getting married. He congratulated us and told me to follow an officer. My fiancé followed behind and they brought me to another area condoned off where, yet another officer took my passport to scan it. He took my packet and told me to keep my medical CD. Not even a minute later, he said I was good to go! No questions asked. I spent more time waiting in line than the actual processing. I took all my luggage's, and we left the airport!
