The process took less than an hour.
The first officer at passport control asked me a few questions about my fiancé and made some kind comments about us deciding to get married. Checked my document and sealed envelope and gave me a note to give to a second officer. He then escorted me to an area where I was able to pick my luggage before meeting the second officer, who was already waiting for me and upon seeing me he called my name. He told me to wait at a distance while he opened the sealed envelope, processed the content, stamped my visa and gave me a few instructions. Throughout the wait he called me at his desk a few times to ask me some information.
Like the first one, he was extremely polite and informative.
What took longest was actually waiting for my checked baggage.
I’m very satisfied about my experience.

Very smooth, not much people at the CBP counters so I went in straight to the counter and got processed by an officer who only asked who filed for me and then took finger prints and a photo then asked me to wait for another officer to come take me to an inner room where I waited for like 15 to 20 mins in line before they called me and gave me my passport with endorsement near the visa and the stamp has both the date of arrival and IR1. No questions asked and that is it.

Husband is from Guatemala, but due to using air miles to pay for the flight, he had to fly out of Tegucigalpa, Honduras to arrive in Miami, Florida, with a later connecting flight to the West Coast (where we live). He had to wait for 2 hours, and nearly missed his connecting flight. He thinks that the reason they were hassling him is because he had told them several times that he was worried he would miss his flight. When it was finally his turn, he said that they asked him to give them his cell phone and they told him he had to give them the passwords to his Facebook account, etc. They told him it's a new law under Trump. He did what they asked, and eventually they gave him back his phone, and approved him to enter the US.

I was prepared for the long wait after reading reviews here. Well my plane landed at MIA around 7pm and I was out of the airport 9.30pm so actually not too bad. However I strongly advise if you have that option to check international arrivals times online so you will have idea how busy lines will be. I went to visitors line which was long but moved pretty fast. When my turn came officer asked what brought me there so I said that I’m reuniting with my husband and that I have envelope for him. He was super smiley right after and nice to me, took fingerprints and a picture and passed my papers to another officer. He escorted me to separated room i the back where I saw maybe 6-10 people sitting and waiting. Only 2 immigration officers were working but they called a name every 15-20 min so my turn was in about 1 hour waiting not more. Overall was very nice experience and extremely polite people!!! By the way I read here before that they won’t speak Spanish to you even when they speak it to each other BUT I saw lots of people speaking Spanish with officers there so don’t worry! Ohhh yes and if you are on American Airlines flight then don’t you worry about your luggage as their employers will keep your info on file and hold bags for you) Goid luck to you all and I am off to live happy married life FINALLY

The entire experience was very smooth, there was no issues. I was asked who sponsored me, I answered and taken into an area where your document was processed and its over . Officially an LPR.
