Review Topic: General Review

My wife waited 3 hours before she had her interview, but the interview took only 2 minutes. She prepared lots of data about us to show we dated for the past 10 years. The guy didn't even request to see any evidence or data and said I don't see no problems, and took her passport for processing. Next day she received her passport with CR-1 in mail. That was quick except the wait.

My fiance had no problems during her interview. She had a couple people interview her. I knew she would do fine and she did. They didn't look at any supporting documents. I even forgot to sign one of the forms, so I had to do it, mail it to her, and she took it in a different day.

My interview was on Oct. 20, 2011.

First of all, remember to bring all the documents with you when you go to AIT. When you arrive there, don't get in line with the people who are getting non-immigrant visa, simply show the guard in the front your interview letter and your passport. Head straight for the third floor.

1. Check in first: They will take your passport, photos, and interview letter. Now you will go wait until they call your name.

2. Paperwork Review: This is when they take all the paperwork that must be filed, like your police record, household registration form, birth certificate and any other forms. The staff will question you some of the answers you put in and double check that you have signed everything. Finally they will take your finger print.

3. Interview: After waiting awhile, the officer will call your name, and ask some questions. I was fortunate that my fiance was there with me. First, she asked me if everything I answered on my paperwork and during the interview will be true. She asked us the following questions:

A. 1. How did you meet each other?
B. What do you plan to do in the US?
C. What does your fiance do?
D. Where did you graduate from? What major?
E. Please provide some photos of you together.

The actual interview part was no more then five minutes and the lady was very nice!

4. Fill out a courier form and the visa should be ready in 2 days! (That's what they told me)

The only thing I didn't like is they charge us another 350USD just for the interview!

Review Topic: K1 Visa

my visa interview appointment is 7:30 am. i arrived at the AIT around 7:10, i thought the guard will gonna allow me to go inside.but he let me fall in line with the people also there in line in right side, which is for immigrant visa. the guard let us all enter exactly 7:30 am.they x-ray all the things we bring and then after that we went to 3rd floor.we waited there again, until around 8:00am.then we fall in line in window 4. i gave my passport,2x2 pictures and appointment letter to the lady in the window. she is a little mean to me.she asked me how long ive been working here in taiwan. and she asked me also why taiwan needs me in that company, when im about to answer she even interrupt me and didnt let me finish to answer.she just said, put your pictures here inside of the ziplock.then after that, im still standing there, then when she noticed me, she said.have a seat then we will call your name-like in bad attitude. i just smile at her, even if i know that she is little rude to me.
i waited maybe 1 hour and 20 minutes. and called my name from window 1. the lady is nice.she get my medical result,my birth certificate, my police certificates and the evidence of support from my fiance. then she asked a few questions to me.WHATS THE NAME OF MY FIANCE, HOW DID WE MEET, WHERE HE LIVES NOW, WHATS HIS JOB, WHATS MY JOB, WHERE IN TAIWAN I AM WORKING AND WHAT COMPANY, AND WHAT I AM DOING IN MY JOB, HOW LONG IVE BEEN WORKING IN TAIWAN, HOW MANY TIMES ME AND MY FIANCE MET, WHERE DID WE MEET IN PERSON, WHEN DID WE MET, SHE ASKED IF ITS MY FIRST TIME TO GO THE AIT, HOW MANY TIMES WE FILED THE PETITION, IS IT SAME PERSON OR DIFFERENT, AND WHY DID WE CANCEL THE FIRST PETITION, HOW DO WE COMMUNICATE, DID MY FIANCE CALL ME LAST NIGHT OR BEFORE I GO TO THE AIT. so, while she asking that questions, some of it, she write it down in a paper, after that. she did finger printing. and also she gave to me the ds 156 to sign it and the ds 156k i sign it also and write the full name of my fiance. after that, she said she will give the documents to the lady who will conduct final interview to me. then i wait again, maybe 10 minutes. then when i saw its an american girl, i said to myself. ohh. american. then my heart beats fast, hahaahaha. american girl from window 5 called my name. then i raised my right hand and i solemnly swear to say the truth. she get my fingerprint of my middle finger in my left hand. and she gave a piece of paper to me and let me sign there, she compared my signature in the form if its the same. and after that, she asked qUEStions. ( im nervous that time) wooahh!!
HOW LONG YOU HAVE KNOWN DOUGLAS, (she is mention my fiance's name), WHERE DID WE MEET, WHERE HE LIVES NOW, WHATS HIS MOTHERS NAME, WHERE HIS MOM LIVES NOW, WHATS MY FIANCE JOB, WHAT HE IS DOING IN HIS JOB, IS HE LIVING ALONE OR TOGETHER WITH HIS FAMILY, HOW LONG I HAVE BEEN WORKING HERE IN TAIWAN, WHATS MY WORK, WHAT IM DOING IN MY JOB, SHE LET ME EXPLAINS WHAT IS MY JOB, WHATS MY COMPANY AND THE PRODUCT WE DO IN THE COMPANY,HOW MANY TIMES DID WE MEET, WHEN DID WE MEET, WHERE IS HE THAT TIME, WHERE I AM THAT TIME, HOW DID WE MEET, WHEN IS THE FIRST TIME THAT I MET HIM IN PERSON, AND WHEN IS THE SECOND TIME, WHERE WILL I LIVE WHEN I ARRIVE IN THE USA, WHEN I WILL PLAN TO GO TO THE USA, WHAT WILL I DO THERE AFTER I ARRIVE, AM I GOING TO QUIT MY JOB, DID MY BOSS ALREADY KNOWS ABOUT IT, DOES MY FIANCE HAS A CAR, WHAT KIND OF CAR IT IS. the lady is nice and always have a big smile. so when you are infront of her, you wont feel nervous because she is pretty and has big smile at you. also some of the questions the lady asked from window 1,are the same as the questions in lady from window 5 asked to me.after that, girl called me from window 8, she gave me the receipt for the courier, and i went to the first floor, i fill up the receipt form and gave it to the courier area there. then thats it. i finished around 10:30am. and also, i bring lots of stuff that day, two photo albums, one folder for the proofs of ongoing relationship, and one folder for the printed chats. WOW, ITS USELESS. they dont even look any of it. hahaha. its so heavy. they just focus to the forms and requirements. but its ok. im just being prepared. who knows, if they will ask some proof or no. right. so its better to be prepared also. thank u for reading. good luck!!!!

Really easy to get this done... the lady doing the interview was very nice and did not make anything difficult... it was a bit of a long process (almost 3 hours) but other than that... it was a breeze...javascript:emoticon('')
