Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Govi said all the applicants had to be there at 1:00 and then each one drew a number which was the order in which they were interviewed - Govi was #1 Govi spoke in English but asked to clarify a couple of things in Nepali. He said the CO was very friendly and the interview only lasted 10 minutes - he asked how we met, when did we get married, and for clarification of my earlier legal name change 6 years ago. We had a couple of red flags - we married quickly after meeting and I am significantly older than Govi - but the CO did not even bring these matters up. He was very impressed that Govi had organized our evidence nicely in a notebook and spent a couple of minutes looking at our photos - he said from the smiles on our faces it was obvious we were truly in love. Govi called me at 6:00 AM with the happy news. JAYA NEPAL!!!!

Review Topic: K3 Visa

My husband said the interviewer, an American, was very friendly. He only asked a few (4 or 5) simple questions, like where and how we met. He was told to pick up the visa in 3 days!

According to my husband, the interview was quite painless and short. He was interviewed by an American. They asked the standard questions but also asked him some unusual ones as well. They wanted to know what made me laugh. They asked him to identify location and dates for all the pictures. They asked about my mother's second marriage. He told him that they he wasn't sure about that. He says the most important thing is to have everything super organized. He could tell that they were impressed. That's it!

Review Topic: K1 Visa

Although the lines were long, my fiance was finally allowed inside the Embassy and called to the interview window. The interview started in English, but as my fiance and the interviewer were having a hard time understanding each other, the second half of the interview was conducted in Nepali. One question my fiance missed was the exact dates of all my visits to Nepal. Besides this, the interview went very well and ended with the interviewer congratulating my fiance and wishing him a very safe and happy journey to the United States.

My fiance's account of the interview explained via chat:
me: so tell me what happened from beginning to end, tell me what time did you get there and every detail
rajan: ohh yaa i was there about 12.45 and get inside there around 1.30 and time of interview was sharp 2 and end around 2.15
me: oh wow and what did they ask you? how did it go?
rajan: he was just looking at all the evidence and mostly looking upon the musical card that you sent to me and said about 3 times this is the most organized document he ever seen in his counsel time (Hallmark sells these cards that play music when you open them... awesome. And I bought a 13 tab expandable file folder to organize the documents for easy access)
me: hahahahahahahah really?
rajan: first he started with the album and ask who took our picture for the cover and he looked inside and said you guys are crazy, it's so cool. yap the best org. and and and
