Individual and family extract is valid for 3 months only thank god I knew that before my interview I was going to submit 8 months old ones
My interview was scheduled on November 14 at 10:00 am i was there at 9 waited till 9:45 to get in
Started with the security check i had my hand bag and a CD and electronic birthday card they told me go put back in the car then come back with papers and pictures only
I got back again to the security check they let me in the embassy, I went to the reception window she gave me number 3 and asked me to go to window #6 they took my passport and civil records over there asked me few questions from DS-230 about my job and my husband and previous marriages we were both single and this is our first marriage she asked for the marriage contract i had that but not translated she told me go out side the embassy there is a translator over there she kept my passport in so i went out running and i had the contract translated in 15 mins then got back in to the security check again lol
then went back to window 6 and provided the certificate she asked me to have a seat till i hear my name called.
I waited for 10 mins then they called my name and asked me to head to room #7, I went in the consular was a very nice lady I was very nervous and shaking cause I had to go in and out for 2 times she asked me to stand up and I took the oath then she took my finger prints and told me to have a seat
She asked me how i met my husband i said on facebook she said no tell me the whole story lol so i told her our story, she asked me about his work, where does he live, when did we get engaged and when did we get married she asked me if i have any pictures of engagement and wedding i had about 200 i started showing it to her she asked me which picture is your favorite i showed her the picture
then she gave me an orange slip and told me to to go pick my passport next week i asked her should i tell my husband i got approved she said yes but don't book tickets until you get your passport with visa on it

Every one was very nice at the embassy so don't worry :P

My fiance did not have anything bad to say about the interview process. It went fine and the interviewer asked questions about me: what books I like to read, etc..

Unfortunately, we were NOT given a response and were sent into additional administrative processing. We are not rejected or approved and are just waiting. As of October 20, we have been waiting for 4.5 months.

This is common in Arab and Muslim countries and for petitioners who are male and have Muslim names. As a US citizen, to me it is blatant discrimination, since non-Muslim males are getting accepted at a much faster rate. If you are experiencing this, feel free to send me a message. Even after we are approved, I'm going to work legally to eradicate this inherently racist and discriminatory process.

Overall experience was absolutely great! Although I could not physically be inside the interview with my fiance, I did fly there to give him moral support. I wouldn't miss it for the world. We are a team and we do everything together! I had to wait across the street from the U.S. Embassy at a little cafeteria during the meantime. His Interview was scheduled at 10:30 am, we arrived at 10 am. He was out of there by 12 pm. They first collected his documents and fee, and then he waited until they called him to go to his interview room. The consulate was very professional! He asked him about a series of 8-10 questions and it didn't last anymore than ten minutes. *Honesty is a huge key factor during the interview! The staff there are very efficient and helpful! He had his interview September 20, 2011 and as soon as he was finished with the interview the consulate gave him a small pink slip with a stamp saying to come in the following Wednesday, September 28th between 3-4pm to pick up his visa and passport. We stayed in Beirut for 6 days, first two days to prepare our paperwork and last 4 days celebrating! We stayed at Bliss 3000 hotel, and had a wonderful experience as well! On a side note, we highly recommend if you are going to Lebanon to book with Bliss 3000. Moreover, the day my fiance picked up his passport he was handled a packet and was informed to NOT open the packet under any circumstance, this packet is to be handed when you arrive in the U.S. to Customs and Immigration. Finally my sweetheart is coming home to me! Best news ever, I can't stop wiping this smile off my face!!! :D

My fiance's interview is scheduled next Wednesday, Aug 24. Basically, I'm a nervous wreck at this point. javascript:emoticon('') We are keeping the faith, but being a woman...javascript:emoticon('') well, you know how that goes. Let's just say that I can't sleep lately... and I'm praying like never before. Anyway, everything has gone smoothly for the most part. The embassy has responded quickly, and has been helpful thus far. God willing, he will be here within the month... this is our prayer. I hope to be back next week with good news, and another good rating. javascript:emoticon('')
