Overall visit to embassy was pleasant, that is to say there were no problems with security, people checking documents, or the interviewer. During the first interview things went fairly smoothly. They asked questions: How did you meet?
Where did you meet? How many times has she come to see you? etc. Unfortunately he was blue slipped for the i-864 form, a copy of our sponsors passport and a statement explaining why i've never filed taxes. His second interview was 3 weeks later. He was blue slipped again for the sponsors i-134 form which he had during his first interview that they gave back to him. I did not understand why that happened. Third time three weeks later he was approved.

Ok so yesterday was such a stressful day. My fiancee arrived at the embassy 8:30 for his 9:00 appointment. Once he checked in at the gate. He went inside. Fast forward to the questions. He was interview by a male.
1. whats your fiancee address?
2. How long have you known each other?
3. Ever been to the U.S?
4. well how do you know her address? ( what the hell?)
5. How did you meet?
6. How did you start dating?
7. Has she ever sent you any western Unions?
8. What was the money used for? (What the hell)
9. How many time have she sent you westeren unions?
10. Why didnt you get married in Jamaica?

After he answered all the question. He was gived back his passport and paperwork and was told to contact his fiancee.

However, God is good because I was granted a second interview for the 12th of september. This time God will have favor on us, and we will be Approved.

My fiance arrived around 7:00am. He was well dressed and carried a small briefcase. As he neared the gate there was a very large crowd that caught him by surprise. The first person that greeted him was a Rastafarian gentleman who offered to hold his items in a bag while Garry was in the embassy. Garry first went across the street to grab a quick breakfast before returning to the gentleman to leave his items. Garry walked up to the gate, they checked his interview letter and told him to get his DS forms out and the 6 passport pictures. The people at the gate clipped the passport photos to the forms and gave them back to Garry. He then moved on to the security checkpoint. He was asked to empty his pockets, remove his belt and put all other items on the moving belt.

After he cleared security, Garry went to another person who reviewed his passport. He then went into another room where there were a lot of people waiting. There were no available chairs so he stood for about 15 minutes until his number was called. When he approached the window the lady asked for the DS forms, police record, medical documents, financial documents, non impediment and passport. He was a bit nervous but she kindly asked him to take his time and get the documents. This was especially nice because kind words do make a difference.
He handed over the documents and she asked him if he ever traveled before and he replied...no. She told him to keep the album and phone records in his hand while he waits for his name to be called.

After about 40 minutes, his name was called by a middle aged Caucasian man. They greeted each other with good mornings and he confirmed that it was Garry. He asked the following questions:
What's your fiance's name?
He was asked to write my name and his name.
Where did you meet your fiance?
How did you guys meet? Garry explained the progression of the relationship.
Where did she stay when visiting?
Garry mentioned that we had twins together and that he had the birth certificates in his possession. The CO asked to see them, verified that he was the father and handed them back to Garry.
Were you ever arrested was the last question.

The CO then asked for his passport and told Garry to go to window 26 to set up the DHL delivery of his visa. He paid approximately $1,150 J. Garry got a receipt and was told that MOBAY would be his pick up and that he should call within seven days.

That was his embassy experience...TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!!!!!!!!!

We arrived at 7am for a 730 appt. The immigrant visa line moved fast but the nonimmigrant and k1 line was long and moved slower. We got inside the compound and I was Asked to stay outside. Within 3 hours we were approved. The questions were:
Where did u meet your wife
What does she do for a living
Where does she work
Where did she work before that
Do you have a child together
Have you ever been arrested
Have you ever been mArried
Has your wife ever been married

They then sent him to dhl window for mailing in one week. They did not ask to see pics or forms other than what is on the appointment letter and they did not give back originals.

ON THE DAY OF THE INTERVIEW, MY BERRY AND I ARRIVED AT THE EMBASSY AT 8:10 AM. AT THE TIME THE LINE WAS VERY SHORT AND THE LADY OUTSIDE TOOK HIS PAPERWORK AND ATTACHED HIS PASSPORT PICTURES TO THEM. WE WENT IN THE EMBASSY TOGETHER, GOING THROUGH THE METAL DETECTOR AND ARRIVED INTO THE COURTYARD. HE WENT INTO THE EMBASSY WHILE I WAITED OUTSIDE WITH THE OTHER PEOPLE WAITING FOR THERE TURN TO GO IN FOR INTERVIEW, PASSPORT RENEWALS ETC. WHILE WAITING I MET UP WITH ANOTHER VJERS WAITING FOR HER HUSBAND WHO HAD A 7:30AM APPOINTMENT (WHO DID GET APPROVED BY THE WAY). A SHORT TIME LATER, NIGHTNURSE ARRIVED WITH HER FIANCE RY. HE WENT INTO THE EMBASSY WHILE NIGHTNURSE AND I AND THE CR-1 WIFE WAITING FOR HER HUBBY WAITED AND CHIT CHAT FOR SEVERAL HOURS. A MAN NAME KEVIN THAT WORK FOR THE EMBASSY CAME OVER TO US CRACKED JOKES JUST TO LIGHTEN THE MOOD ASKING US QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR FIANCEE. WHILE THIS WAS GOING ON OUTSIDE THE EMBASSY, BERRY WAS IN THE EMBASSY WAITING FOR HIS NAME TO CALLED. HE WENT TO A WINDOW AND GAVE A LADY HIS PAPERWORK AND HE WAS GIVEN A NUMBER. WHEN HE FINALLY WAS CALLED TO THE WINDOW A MIDDLE AGED CAUCASIAN MAN BEGAN TO ASK HIM QUESTIONS. HE ASKED: 1. WHAT'S YOUR FIANCEE'S NAME? 2. WHERE DID WE MEET? HE ASKED HIM TO CONTINUE TALKING THE STORY OF HOW WE MET (AT THIS TIME THE CO HAD MY QUESTION 18 FROM MY NOA-1 IN HIS HAND AND READING IT AS BERRY TOLD THE STORY. MIND YOU MY QUESTION 18 WAS 6 PAGES LONG). THE CO ASKED ABOUT PICTURES THAT WERE IN THE NOA-1 PACKET, NEVER ASKING TO SEE THE ALBUM I PREPARED. HE PUT THE PICTURE UP TO THE WINDOW AND ASKED WHERE WERE WE AND WHAT WERE DOING FOR ABOUT 5 PICTURES. HE THEN CONTINUED WITH THE QUESTIONS: 3. WHAT DID I DO FOR A LIVING? WHERE DO I WORK? WHATS MY CHILDREN NAME AND AGE? WHY DID I TAKE SO LONG TO GET DIVORCE? WHAT AGE DID I MIGRATE TO THE STATES? HE ASKED HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I COME TO VISIT JAMAICA? WHERE DO I STAY? HE THEN ASKED WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME HE SAW ME. BERRY TOLD HIM I WAS IN THE COURTYARD WAITING FOR HIM. HE WENT TO HIS COMPUTER CHECKED SOMETHING AND SAID OK. HE THEN ASKED ABOUT PAPERWORK AND HE ONLY TOOK THREE.(POLICE CLEARANCE, PAYSTUBS, AND TAX FORMS). HE THEN ASKED ABOUT THE MEDICAL WHICH WAS NOT COMPLETE. BERRY TOLD THEM THAT HE WENT FOR HIS MEDICAL BUT HE WAS STILL MISSING A FEW VACCINATION. THE CO GAVE HIM A BLUE SLIP WITH MEDICAL CHECKED AND TOLD HIM TO MAKE A BLUESLIP APPOINTMENT WHEN HE HAS THE COMPLETE MEDICAL IN HAND.

NOTE: NIGHTNURSE AND I WERE VERY METICULOUS ABOUT OUR DOCUMENTS, SO WE BOUGHT EXPANDABLE (ACCORDIAN FOLDERS) AND PLACED ALL THE DOCUMENTS IN IT BY COLOR CODED TABS. PURPLE=DSFORMS, GREEN=FINANCIAL AND BLUE=EVIDENCE. I EVEN CREATED A PHOTOALBUM BUT THE CO NEVER ASKED FOR. OVERALL THE EXPERIENCE WAS GOOD, BUT NERVE-WRECKING. SITTING AND WAITING FOR THE UNKNOWN FOR 3HOURS WAS THE HARDEST PART, BUT SEEING MY BERRY WALK OUT WITH A SMILE ON HIS FACE AND KNOWING WE WOULDNT BE APPROVED RIGHT AWAY PENDING THE RETURN OF THE MEDICAL TO THE EMBASSY WAS ENOUGH FOR ME. HE GOES BACK FOR THE COMPLETION OF HIS MEDICAL ON 8/17 AND WE WILL CONTACT THE EMBASSY IMMEDIATELY TO SCHEDULE THE BLUE SLIP APPOINTMENT. IM STILL PRAYING THAT WE CAN TRAVEL BACK UP THE STATES TOGETHER, IM NOT LETTING THAT PRAYER GO. ALL OF MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED SO FAR AND IM HOPING THAT THIS ONE WILL TOO. IM STILL ON CLOUD 9 AND ENJOYING CELEBRATING WITH MY BERRY WHILE IM STILL HERE ON THE ISLAND. PLEASE FELLOW VJER'S TELL YOUR FIANCE WHEN THEY GO IN FOR THERE INTERVIEW TO LOOK THE PART, DRESS THE PART AND REMAIN CONFIDENT THROUGH IT ALL. I HOPE THIS REVIEW WAS HELPFUL TO ALL.
