My fiance had his interview on 6-13-14 and didn't have any troubles with the embassy. He said it went very smoothly and they only asked a few questions since I sent so much information before. Being super organized is going to help a lot. Can't wait for him to get here!

My husband's interview was scheduled for 9:30 AM. Arrived near the embassy at 08:50. I guess this had something to do with why my husband was the last one to be interviewed. The line was long in front of the Embassy. My husband did not want me to go with him because he felt very nervous. He left his phone and electronics with us in the car. Remember you are not allowed to bring any form of electronics into the embassy. Our friends and I parked in the plaza not to faraway to allow my husband time to walk to the embassy and do some meditation. He was told to join a separate line for IV which happened to be a little shorter. After joining that line someone came and looked at his documents and the invitation letter and mark something on the paper. Upon entering the embassy , a security checkpoint was done and he was told to take off belts, shoes etc. then went through the security check. Not soon after entering the building he was given two numbers. Then he went to the waiting area and waited for the numbers to be called. It was about one hour and then three hours before the numbers were called. While there my husband said he got to listen to many of the applicants that were denied because of lack of evidence. Additionally, many of the applicants that were not approved could not answer basic questions about there spouse and did not have proof. Its not good to have too little information when submitting your application. If you do not submit enough during the application process make sure to cover yourself during the interview. When he was called first, he took all the medical info and was asked a few questions, after that was seated again. Once called by the Embassy officer, my husband spoke to a young white male. He was very nervous because for three hours he had watched several people get denied. Funny my husband learned his pattern for the denials. When came time for the questions, the following two questions were asked:

1. Are you ready to be with your wife? (By this he assumed he was approved)
2. Where did you meet your wife?

The officer then said your wife really provided good evidence and I do not need to ask or see anything else. Then he said Congratulations, you are approved and go be with your wife. He gave a sheet to register for the DHL service. He did not look at anything...no pictures, call logs, or chats. Overall, my husband said he did not even know the interview had began because it was a very casual conversation. My personal opinion is that the interview outcome is already decided before you enter. It is a matter of formality to have the interview.

My hubby interview was difficult because his original date was feb 14, 2014 under expedite. He was turned away and rescheduled for March 14, 2014 due to a error on the embassy end. They said he was missing some documents. We went back on March 14 and they attempted to say he was missing some stuff that time as well but I stood my ground that I sent everything and they found it. Surprisingly. The questions my hubby said they asked were. How did we meet? How many children do I have? How many children do we have together?. They approved him but it still took 2 months for his status to change from Ap, ready, ap, issued.
Im just very happy this journey is over

OK, here goes, my fiance and I arrived at the US Embassy in Kingston at 6:57am, we got in line and the lady says excuse me but the petioner cannot go in, so we were a little bummed after that, but he went in without me with no problems. He said he got in, they called him up immediately and was asked to be fingerprinted then sat back down again, was called up again to go pay for the visa of $240 then had interview, very easy basic questions like: How did you meet your fiance 2. Was she alone when you met her, asked about only one of our pics where were you when this was taken he answered Runaway Bay, and then he said to him you know you can't get married here in Jamaica, this allows for you to get married in the United States, he said I know, he then gave him a paper explaining Domestic Violence in USA, then he was approved...that's it, went in at 7am and he was back out to me at 9am, he said it was very easy and the officers were very nice, only financial info that he took was my W-2,1040 tax forms and the I-134, that's it, employment letter, paystubs and other bank account stuff, they didn't even touch..now waiting for passport to be processed which we see now is another long process, but we've waited this long, we can wait some more

Every Praise is to our God, My daughter and I got approved today, March 2013 filer..So happy, I got the interview I prayed for, Went with a folder full of stuff but was'nt asked for anything, just a few simple questions.Jamaica Consulate
What date did you get married?
Where did you get married?
Who is filing?
Is he is your husband?
Did he propose?
How long did you date?
When was the last time i saw him?(He was outside waiting, CO felt good hearing that and he even joked with my daughter asking her if school was fun, she said yes, he laughed and said no school is not fun. lol)
Just asked my daughter if she met him, if she is in school, every been arrested or if she traveled before, and asked back her age.
Asked me if I have pictures, then he found the ones hubby submitted and enjoyed looking through em.
Had 8:30AM appointment, didnt come out the embassy until 12:20pm, interview was short, wait was long, however i brought a book with me and was reading,

Thank you VJ for all your help, Continue being faithful others who are waiting.
