First off i the petioner was asked to go to the embassey and speak with the consulate before they would scedule my fiancee interview. There i was not taken to the visa department but into the consulates office. There i was interrigated and i am not joking i was threatened with arrest.they taked to me for 2 hrs and when i say they i mean there was 7 men all asking me questions. We did have red flags as Alen is from Iraq,i was married before and there is an age difference. But was plite but told them found it unussual that 7 men needed to interview me for 2 hrs.Thet assured me it was common.hahahaha....After they seemed satisfyed and said they would interview Alen the next monday. We returned hopeful. They next week they alloowed me to go in with him to the interview.they took us to the visa office this time.Everything start out fine then the second interview guy was surrounded by the sme 7 men.Thye basically did the same thing to alen interrigated him for 2 hrs,ask him questions about his family ,cousinsaunts and uncles.Where they lived ,what they did for a living,if they lived in a house or apt. Some left for other countrys right after he was born and he had no idea?I thought he was gonna pass out they was firing so many question at him.He finally ask for some water.I got him some they seemed so mean. They checked every person by computer that he told them about as he told them.It was crazy. Finally they guy told him dont you do drugs.Alen said i have never even seen drug and would never do any drugs .they guy said i smoke alil pot.You sure you dont. Then he ask alenwhat religion he is.Alen says assyrian. He saes whats that ?Alen sayes christain. He says ok.The finally he sayes we need your finger prints and passport. Also he paid the fee.Thn he says we need one more paper from you and your ar in ap for security checks .This is common because of where you are from.So finally we leave ,freaked out but happy cause they took his passport. Then i fly home 2 days later to wait for Alen.Thinking it might be a monthor so.The next week they call him say we need to speak with you one moreime. He arrives and tells they guard why he is there. The next thing the police drive up and arrest him.Someone run out from the emmbassey and takes pictures. He was detand one week. They said he was illegal,He wasnt they immigration in sweden had given him perrmission to stay til his visa process as completed. He wa made to return to Iraq 2 weeks lare.Where he now waits .Sweden will not transfer his case til we are out of ap there.Wonder what they are up to now. What horrible mean people work there.I wish anyone going thru that embassey luck ifthey arent swedish because all this happened because my fiancee is Iraqi. My god open these peoples eyes that even Iraqis are human beings.

Very confusing. Seemed like the interview went fine, but then at the end he wasn't told anything. Was given some piece of paper which we later found out that they needed something stamped. (something we had already done and was in the packet but they wanted another) Had this done; received a date of May 20th to show up. He shows up and was just told he needs to wait until his number shows up online. No word as to what is going on or anything. Very closed-mouthed. We are going absolutely crazy as we have no idea how long this will be. We live for Thursdays, when the Embassy site is updated.

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

My husband had his interview they approved his visa because all paper work was in order he was fingerprinted and paid the fedex fee for delivery of the visa. The visa never came so I called and was told it was under consular reveiw. Still no visa I called again and was told it could take up to a year to receive the visa because he was under administrative processing. my complaint is they knew they were going to do this so why take his passport it took me 6 weeks to get his passport back and letters and calls to my senator and the DOS. Ukraine is known for their marriage brokers and trust me all Ukranian women will never be put under AP. The country is a joke the Embassy is a joke a $1 will buy you anything. I am prepared now to wait for a year for my husbands visa while they issue women their kids visas everyday. I can really not say one nice word about the Embassy you even have to pay to talk to them.

Review Topic: Waiver/Admin Review

We went in for our K1 interview today. We arrived about 7:45am. We went up the front of a very long line and were let in after a few minutes. We got to the 3rd floor and took Number 1 and waited some more. About 8:40am, we were called to the window to present our initial checklist/papers. We were then called up about 9:30am for Haydar to be fingerprinted. After about 20 more minutes, we were called up for the interview.

The guy was very nice and interviewed us together. He asked Haydar when/where/how we met. He asked us both how/why we were in Korea. He asked Haydar about what he was studying. He asked us about how we got engaged and if Haydar had met my parents. I told him that they had visited in February and showed him a picture. He asked Haydar how he was able to get his passports since he hasn't been back to Iraq in 8.5 years (his mother sent it to him). He asked us about traveling together in Malaysia... where we went and what not. We showed him the stamps in our passports. He asked us our plans in the USA. We told him Haydar wants to train for MMA and I will return to a business job. We told him we would be living in the house I own. We told him we were engaged on 7/7/07 and want to be married on 8/8/08. He made a joke about what would happen on 9/9/09.

At the end of the interview, he said, "You can imagine we don't get many Iraqis interviewing in Korea. Your case needs further administrative processing." He said he guessed 2 weeks to "conservatively, a month." It's back to a waiting game for us.
