They were very professional and really not that scary...!
Just have all the documents that are named in packet 4 and you should be fine.
The consul did ask a few questions, but nothing difficult, if you know your fiance(e) !
I got there at 2 and left at 4.30, visa in hand.
Good luck to you !

The interview went smooth. They asked the questions that are to be expected (how and when did you meet, etc.) and I thought they were friendly enough. It was great that my visa was issued there and then, they really did their best for that as I live a distance from Brussels. I cannot complain at all and think the US embassy in Brussels is probably one of the better ones to have your interview at. Thumbs up!

interview was very to the point, extremely short. They were only interested in seeing the correct paperwork and were happy to help me as fast as possible. There was confusion about the "militia certificate", a weird document that doesn't really exist anymore, so you have to bring an official statement from your town hall saying that it doesn't exist anymore :-). Non-Belgians need not worry about this at all. Anyway, I came back the next day to turn in this form and got my visa 10 minutes later.
Piece of cake.

They're really helpfull and friendly throughout the procedure.
The interview went very smooth. First a lady asked for all the paperwork, then my fingerprints were taken. The Consular Officer asked only a couple of questions, if I was ever married before, how we met and when we started our relationship ... I was lucky to have my visa printed out the same day as the interview. I think I was out of the Embassy in less then 2 hours.
Excellent work by those people there!

Review part 2: because this feature won't let me update my previous review, I would like to add that in general, my experience with the US Consulate of Brussels has been very positive.
While the paying telephone line (a call center) is not useful, the personnel at the US Consulate has really been great. They have responded quickly every time to my email requests for info about the visa process, and have been really helpful in general. So my overall score for this Consulate is definitely 5/5
