My Husband went to the Embassy at about 6:00am he got there a little bit early for his 8am interview appointment and around 7am everyone started to line up and they went in at 7:30 am.

first he was called to window 1 where the person asked his wife's name and collected his passport and told him to go wait.

then about 30 minutes later he was called to be fingerprinted and again told to wait.

and then about an hour or so of waiting he was called for the final stage of the interview.

And this is what transpired according to my husband:

CO: Hi how are u?
H: Hello, I'm well thank you
CO: who is sponsoring you?
H: my wife
CO: what does you wife do?
H: Answer
CO: where does she live?
H: Answer
CO: Who is Co-sponsoring?
H: Answer
CO: who does your wife live with there?
H: Answer
CO: How many siblings does she have?
H: Answer
CO: How many sibling do you have?
H: Answer
CO: when did you get married?
H: Answer.
CO: Can I see some wedding pics?
H: Here you go...
CO: Very nice, can you tell me who is who?
H: Yes Sure..this is ...that is...
CO: Please sign here DS230 ....
H: Signed!
CO: Okay please come back to pick up your passport after we conduct an AP on your case we will notify you of the correct time.
H: AP? are you not satisfied do you need more evidence, because I have more evidence if you need to see ie. phone records, emails, skype logs!
CO: No no that won't be necessary, I'm very satisfied! as far as I'm concerned you got your visa you shouldn't be too worried.
H: Are we missing anything in our paperwork?
CO: No, everything is complete.
H: How long is the AP going to take?
CO: few days, few weeks, or few months..we will notify you.

We have no clue why he was put under Administrative review they said our paperwork is complete and don't require anything further from us and just told him to WAIT!!!

I don't know what to say about this experience I'm at a lost for words I just hope the WAIT ends soon!

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

I am just stating the experience on behalf of my wife.

Her experience wasn't bad at all rather it was way much better than she anticipated. Everything that was asked from her was relevant and we prepared well for those questions. Anyway, from landing in the embassy door step and wait outside in a line to coming out from the embassy took around 2 hours, which was incredibly good.

Interview Time was at 8:00 AM and she was asked to appear 30 minutes before the interview time.

Reached at the embassy little before 7:00 PM. The street was clear and there wasn’t much traffic, hence reached little earlier than anticipated

She along with the other candidates were taken inside around 7:20 AM. They were reminded that no cell phone was allowed and all went through the metal detector. After settling down, she was called at counter 1 where she submitted the interview letter, her passport and 2 passport size photograph. The gentleman was courteous and while sorting out those papers asked few basic questions. At the end he returned the medical report back to her and suggested to pick up the original papers from the CO.

She came back and waited for 10-15 minutes and was called for finger printing in window 2. This was quick and seemless and after that waiting started again.

Fortunately she didn't have to wait for long as well. After 10-15 minutes she was called again at window 3. The CO was a white guy who was really polite and courteous to her. He decided to continue the interview in Bengali (could be bit broken but was good enough for her)

He asked some really basic questions regarding our marriage, when we met, what do I do and so on, something similar to what she was asked earlier on window 1. Also wanted to see some of our wedding pictures. Right after seeing the pictures, the CO focused on his PC and after few minutes told her "Congratulations, you are approved". My wife profusely thanked the CO and asked for the originals. Even though there was bit of confusion finding all the originals, but I guess that's not something outrageous and is understandable. She she came out before 10:00 AM.

As per her, people were courteous and helpful, environment was clean and the process was smooth. In her view she was happy with everything. I guess the joy transpired to everything else but I will honor her judgement. It was all good at the end of the morning.

OK well here it goes

My wife`s appointment was at 9:00AM (keep in mind this was in Bangladesh),So she arrived around 8ish..as always a huge line ahead..she stood on line then went in.{experts say always arrive an hour or hour/half early prior to the appointment time}.So she went in and was waiting to be called so officials call my wife she went to window number 1 made her sign few papers took the photos and passport. Then she went back to waiting then a second time she was called window number 2 , they took her finger prints and such.Back to waiting again then for the 3rd time she was called into the interview window the agent said "
Agent: Hello
Wife:Hi
Agent: So what is your name?
Wife:******
Agent:OK so who applied for you?
Wife:My husband
Agent:so when and how did your husband go to America?
Wife:responses...blah blah blah
Agent:May I see some pictures
Wife:hands him the pictures
Agent: {makes her sign a paper and gives her a token}
Wife: smiles dances whatever...takes the token asks a few questions.
Agent:OK please come back tommo for your visa packet and passport

PHEW! that was real quick and easy about 3-4 minute interview..

so she exits the building and doesn`t find the people she came with lols a guy helped her etc etc.

4/19/11
was told to attend at 2:30pm for visa packet and passport
She arrives around 2:15pm stands on line and goes in (real quick)
waiting to be called ..so she was called ..went to the window Agent told her the instructions
