USICS Tampa, 19th July 2010, 11:30am
We arrived 45 minutes early, went and handed our appointment letter in and then were told to go and sit in the white cabin at the side of the building. We were sat there for only about 20 minutes, if we had gone at 11am we would have only been sat 10 minutes. Anyways we were called to go back to the big building and were told to go and sit in another lobby, no sooner and I seriously mean it, no sooner were we sat down than we were asked to go in to the interview, so yep our interview was early
The Interviewer introduced himself and we took the Oath, immediately he told us that he had everything he needed and would stamp my passport. He took a copy of our son's birth certificate and asked if we wanted to give him anything else, but he said quite honestly he didn't need it. I showed insurance and life insurance, that was it, he wasn't bothered about photo's etc and I had a whole file of evidence and a ... read complete review

They were running a couple of hours late but, as the Security Guard said, "don't panic until its gets to after to lunchtime"! In the even we went in at 9.45am for an 8.00am appointment.
We were sworn in and then asked to produce our driving licenses and originals of our birth certificates. Our IO was extremely pleasant and any earlier nerves were calmed very quickly.
We had a general chat (weather, sports, etc) and that was that - very easy!

Our appointment was at 10am today. We arrived at 9:30. The guard at the building door took my appointment letter and sent us to a rickity trailer/portable building to wait for our names to be called. Inside the trailers there were rows of seats and a scrolling LED sign on the front wall where they played Citizenship Test Q&A's. This was kind of fun and made waiting easy. There were already people in there, but after about 15 minutes our names were called over a loud speaker.
We went back to the main building where the guard let us in, did the basic security check and sent us down a corridor to a waiting area. The waiting area was full! There was not a single seat empty. So we thought we were going to have to wait for a long time. But somehow, after only 5 minutes, we were called up ahead of all other people (I'm not sure why, but I didn't argue).
The immigration officer led us to an office through a set of doors, we were sworn in and were seated.

Very pleasant interview. Basic questions, first him and then me, supervisor approval and we were done. The trailer that you have to wait in is pretty icky. Try to go to the restroom before arriving. We waited almost an hour to be called. We have been together for 10 years so our comfortability alone left no doubt.

I had an interview appointment at 11:30am. I got to the office at around 11:15, went through security and waited less than 30 minutes in the waiting room. Everyone in the office was polite and friendly and the interview went well. Just the normal questions and reviewing of documents. Our officer was very nice.
