The whole interview experience was extremely pleasant and there were no surprises. Our officer was extremely nice, and attempted to make jokes and asked about our trip abroad. There were two officers in our interview, one who was reviewing the officer doing the actual interviewing.
We didn't do much preparation in terms of the interview, other than gathering the required documents and our photos. We didn't have a lawyer and did our own filing with the help of this site.
The officer started with asking for state ID from both of us and my passport. He made a copy of everything in the room.
Aside from verifying information on the forms (ie. name, birthday, address) here are some questions that came up, which seem very basic:
* When were you married?
* How did you meet? Who made the first move?
* How long have you lived here together?
* How long were you married with previous spouse? Why did you get divorced?<... read complete review

The officer was nice and seemed to know all the facts in our documents. He verified some data to us, like how and when did we meet, etc, and we told him they were all correct.
He told us that he can see a real marriage on us and he just need to ask some standard questions - (Have you ever been arrested, etc). Here are some questions that were asked:
> How's marriage life? I told him that it is wonderful and my husband told him that we are very compatible in so many ways. He asked my husband to tell him more about it.
> Do I like living here? Of course, and I told him why. My husband talked about how he likes the WA state too.
> Do I have plans of continuing my career here? I told him Yes and gave him some explanations.
> My SS #.... I told him I can't memorize it and I have to look at my notebook. He just smiled and told me that it is ok to look at it because this is not a test...((haha..I have to laugh at that)... read complete review

August 6, 2009: We were there early of course, but we were suprised to be called right on time! The waiting room is upstairs. As you walk up the stairs, you see everyone looking at you, because you are entering into the middle of a large room with everyone's chairs configured toward the middle. Every so often a door marked "Do not enter" opens and an interviewer calls someone to come in! Our reviewer was very nice and professional. We brought 6 inch deep box full of papers as well as our entire wedding album, other pictures, etc. He asked to see our bank statements, our apartment contract information, other bills we share, and our pictures, as well as our ID. When we offered to find another document, he said no, that's not necessary, and showed us the two 3 to 5 inch files he had on us already! He did ask several questions (how we met, how old my husband is, pretty basic stuff) and then told us he would recommend us for a conditional permanent residence card! He ga... read complete review

He is cool! The questions are about "our relationship" , how did we meet? job of my husband, and so and so forth. I am a little bit nervous though but I have the faith that I am approved! My husband was with me on my interview, and he asked to my husband some few questions too. He took my I-94 on my passport and then put stamp on my paperwork, saying approve! Then he gave paper saying..congratulations you are approve...and need to wait within three weeks till my Green card arrived. That is all.

This is my review for the Seattle USCIS office for my wife's interview for her Green Card.
We were scheduled for 1:30 interview and got there at 1:10. There were quite a few people waiting in the lobby. At 1:20 the USCIS office called us in. He was smiling and very friendly. He explained to us that we will be going over my wife's application just to confirm that everything is still current and up to date.
The first question he asked my wife was "when are you due?" She is 7 months pregnant and it said so in the medical report. He then explained to us that he will read off a name and my wife would have to tell him if she knows that person or not. So he asked, "Do you know somebody by the name of (insert name here). My wife said no, never heard of him. He then asked if she had ever been to California. She again said no. He then said "Good, that's all you needed to say. Just what I needed to hear".
So he continued with the interview. Just went ... read complete review
