I got interviewed on 9/10/2012.
My appointment was at 1.45pm but my name was not called until 2.45pm. I brought my wife and my step daughters as there was no one to watch them after school.
The interview lasted 15 minutes and was very professional and relaxed. The officer checked over my paper work verifying my name and address etc. She then verified my answers to the questions in the paper work such as being a terrorist etc. Once the officer was happy with my answers she asked me and my wife how we met, when we met, where we got engaged, how many times I visited during that time and questions about the wedding. She then asked my step daughters of their first impressions of me and how I get on with them.
Once done she asked if I had any paper work to support my application. I provided her with wedding photographs, photos of us since the wedding, joint bank statements, flight tickets from our honeymoon and car insurance documents. She asked ... read complete review

I had to get my tenprints and biometrics taken today and the office was almost empty (unlike two years ago) and my appointment, including check in and wait time, was over within 20 minutes. They worked very efficiently and fast and were all very friendly.

Wife with F-1 study visa; we submitted I-130 and I-485 received Chicago lockbox May 30, 2012. Biometry about 6 weeks later. No RFEs.
Had a few complications early on after weeks passed and no biometry appt, but got that cleared up calling many times and sending in requests for clarification too. Appt today went very well with 130 and 485 both approved.

My AOS process was long and somewhat difficult (had a home visit that really scared me and made me get a lawyer almost after a year of filing my petition). I was really worried about the interview given the issues we had before, but the IO was very nice and only asked a few basic questions. She looked at our pictures and quickly browsed through the evidence we brought, and then approved us. I've always thought that the home visit must have gone well for the interview to be this simple, however besides that I have to say that the IO was a pleasure to deal with. It felt like a friendly chat more than an interview.

We arrived 30 minutes early, checked in then went to the restroom. After going upstairs, we were immediately called by our interviewer.
Officer Hyatt conducted the interview with petitioner and beneficiary. She made small talk about our lives, including children since beneficiary is pregnant. Towards the end, officer Hyatt asked some formal questions that we've already answered on the I-148 form. Then she told us beneficiary's green card will be mailed to us within a month, usually in two weeks. Fast, easy and low stress.
