I got interviewed on 9/10/2012.

My appointment was at 1.45pm but my name was not called until 2.45pm. I brought my wife and my step daughters as there was no one to watch them after school.

The interview lasted 15 minutes and was very professional and relaxed. The officer checked over my paper work verifying my name and address etc. She then verified my answers to the questions in the paper work such as being a terrorist etc. Once the officer was happy with my answers she asked me and my wife how we met, when we met, where we got engaged, how many times I visited during that time and questions about the wedding. She then asked my step daughters of their first impressions of me and how I get on with them.

Once done she asked if I had any paper work to support my application. I provided her with wedding photographs, photos of us since the wedding, joint bank statements, flight tickets from our honeymoon and car insurance documents. She asked who the people were on my wedding photos and joked with us about some of the places we were pictured at and told us she was also a big Seattle Sounders fan after seeing our photo there.

At the end she stated she was happy with everything she saw, stating that being vetted during the K1 process helped matters and that subject to background checks we should hear the decision within the next 2 weeks. (I found out on the USCIS website that night that I was approved). The officer said it was a great idea to bring my step daughters as kids tend to always tell the truth and you get a better feel of the family dynamic.

Overall the interviewer was very professional, our interview was very relaxed with no tough questioning and the officer was very good with small children.

Be prepared to wait at least an hour for your interview as the place was very busy.
