Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

My husband and I just had our AOS interview yesterday. We received a notification this morning that he was Approved!

Interview went great! Appointment was scheduled for 10:15. We arrived around 9:40, Checked in, went upstairs to sit in the waiting room, and we were called within 10 minutes. Interview overall took about 20 minutes. We were asked about how we met, where we were married, who cooked at home, if we wanted to have kids, if we both were working, who attended our wedding, what we were doing for valentines day and many other simple questions.

She scanned through all the documents we brought with us including bank records, christmas and wedding cards from our families, wedding venue receipts, wedding photo album, and other photos showing different time periods throughout our relationship. At the end of the interview she said she would review our case at the end of the day and if she needed anymore info we would be notified by mail in the next mon... read complete review

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

My wife, stepson and myself had our AOS interview on 19 No 2012. There were some strange moments at the interview. I was told by the IO that I had forgotten to fill out a G-325A for myself, and promptly complied with the IO request. My wife and I were interviewed first, then the IO brought my stepson in and interviewed him. The IO asked for, and I provided copies of my divorce decrees, a copy of all pages of each of our passports, and photos of our wedding and family photos of our lives since the wedding. The IO then said that since he had only received our file ten minutes before the interview, he would have to review the evidence that we had provided, and either contact us for more information, or we would get our approval in the mail in 10-14 days. I gave the IO a copy of my business card, asking him to please contact me if he had any other questions. Obviously we were somewhat disappointed. However, shortly after we got home, I got SMS text notifications that each of our I-485s cas... read complete review

Went with my husband and father-in-law. My husband wanted him to come as an "additional evidence". Heh. He's the cutest

The office was organized and staff were courteous. I noticed that there were several Filipino personnel there, too.

I like the waiting area. It was decent enough.

Was scheduled at 11:15am, came in at 10:45, was called in at 11:35. My father-in-law was asked to wait.

The officer was very professional, yet friendly. We instantly felt comfortable with him as he smiles a lot. We went through a brief oath-taking and went through the yes-no questionnaire.

Then we were asked how we met and how our relationship developed. The interview seemed informal. Much giggles, side comments, and personal remarks. Was very comfy.

The officer asked for the evidences I brought with me, but didn't pay much attention to the "serious" papers. He seemed to be more interested with tje w... read complete review

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

I got interviewed on 9/10/2012.

My appointment was at 1.45pm but my name was not called until 2.45pm. I brought my wife and my step daughters as there was no one to watch them after school.

The interview lasted 15 minutes and was very professional and relaxed. The officer checked over my paper work verifying my name and address etc. She then verified my answers to the questions in the paper work such as being a terrorist etc. Once the officer was happy with my answers she asked me and my wife how we met, when we met, where we got engaged, how many times I visited during that time and questions about the wedding. She then asked my step daughters of their first impressions of me and how I get on with them.

Once done she asked if I had any paper work to support my application. I provided her with wedding photographs, photos of us since the wedding, joint bank statements, flight tickets from our honeymoon and car insurance documents. She asked ... read complete review

Review Topic: Other Experience

I had to get my tenprints and biometrics taken today and the office was almost empty (unlike two years ago) and my appointment, including check in and wait time, was over within 20 minutes. They worked very efficiently and fast and were all very friendly.
