Seattle WA | Review on November 3, 2012: | Chocnut

Rating: | Review Topic: Adjustment of Status
Went with my husband and father-in-law. My husband wanted him to come as an "additional evidence". Heh. He's the cutest
The office was organized and staff were courteous. I noticed that there were several Filipino personnel there, too.
I like the waiting area. It was decent enough.
Was scheduled at 11:15am, came in at 10:45, was called in at 11:35. My father-in-law was asked to wait.
The officer was very professional, yet friendly. We instantly felt comfortable with him as he smiles a lot. We went through a brief oath-taking and went through the yes-no questionnaire.
Then we were asked how we met and how our relationship developed. The interview seemed informal. Much giggles, side comments, and personal remarks. Was very comfy.
The officer asked for the evidences I brought with me, but didn't pay much attention to the "serious" papers. He seemed to be more interested with tje wedding/honeymoon/activities pictures than the documents (i.e., bank statements). We just informally gave a short description of the photos we brought.
After less than 10 minutes, the officer said he's approving our application for aos and that I'll be on conditional green card (?) status since we have only been married for less than 2 years. He explained further the next steps we had to take.
One interesting thing he mentioned was that my job in the Philippines was one big factor in the relatively speedy processing of my visa.
I mentioned, too, that I am part of visajourney and he expressed interest in looking it up. I told him that the Seattle office has much good reviews. He seemed glad to know
