Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

We arrived 45 minutes early, went through security (remove shoes, belt, coats, put all belongings in a tray, walk through the metal detector, then reclaimed items), and checked in. Confusingly, there is a sign that says you cannot check in more than 15 minutes early, despite the notice saying 30 minutes, and us being permitted to check in 45 minutes ahead of time. They gave us a receipt with a letter and a number (just like the DMV). We were told to go to the second floor - there are two sides of the second floor with seating, the side closer to the bathrooms and the american flag is for naturalization/citizenship ceremony, while the other is for those waiting for interviews. There is NO signage anywhere that makes note of this, so we ended up sitting on the wrong side until we noticed that nobody sitting near us had a receipt with a letter/number. There's also no screens/monitors that tell you what number has been called - the workers just come and call out, which can be a bit hard to... read complete review

AOS interview was a great experience, we waited about 15 minutes past our scheduled appointment time before being called in by the officer. The whole thing took less than 30 minutes and the officer was very professional, polite and to the point. After putting us under oath we reviewed the I-485 contents followed by us describing how we met. There were no questions on any of the documentation we submitted so we just shared some of the evidence of the relation that we brought, apartment lease contract, utility bills and a few photos, that was all. We were subsequently approved the same day, two thumbs up!

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

My interview was at 11:15. It was very easy for me to get to the location and parking, still $7 cash, was plentiful. Got through security right away and there was only 1 couple ahead of us in line for check-in. Showed my interview letter and id and got checked in at about 10:50. Went to the 2nd floor waiting area. It's a huge waiting area and there was only about 3 groups of us waiting. We we called in within 20 minutes and then had the interview. The interview was pretty laid back. The immigration officer ("IO") went through the information on the forms and then just asked us general questions about where we met and about the wedding, ie. who was there and reason why we picked the specific date for the wedding. The IO also asked each of us about each other's siblings, my husband forgot the name of one of my sisters, but the IO said don't worry about it. The IO then asked what we have done to financially merge our lives together. I then provided her documents showing that my... read complete review

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

I just had an interview yesterday (01/26/17) at Seattle field office in Tukwila. Me and my USC wife were nervous. We had 8:50 am appt, had breakfast in SeaTac going over some details and was at the security area around 8:25 am. As everyone already stated but just to make sure you bring $7 cash for parking! Some state that card is okay but I saw the sign cash only so just to be safe bring cash to avoid unnecessary delays.

Security check was painless and check in process was also easy and staffs were very courteous. We were told to head out to 2nd floor. There's a big waiting area which kinda reminds me of airport like setting. I am pretty sure numbers are called not in order because my number 19 was called before 11. We were greeted by this nice mid aged gentleman and off to his office. He said thank you for coming to the adjustment of status interview and made us to stand up and swear to tell the truth.

He was really professional but very very thorough. H... read complete review
