Preparation is the key. Have everything ready to go at least one week prior to your interview. Do not let life get in the way. That being said... I must admit that I had misplaced the appointment form and was looking for it the night before. I though I had found it and it turned out to be the biometrics appt form. That form said our appt was for 11 am so that tme stuck in my head. Later when I found the correct appointment notice I failed to check the time and 11 am was stuck in my head. The actual appointment time was for 8 am!!! We were 3 hours late!!! Well, I decided than rather than call and reschedule or be told that we had abandoned the process that it would be better to show up. The two guards at security did not check the form closely or even look at it. Wed approached window #8 as instructed and the clerk there did not even glanced at it but simply put it on a pile and told us to wait for our names to be called. half an hour later we were called. The questions were... read complete review

Appointment was on 10:15. We arrived there a little before 10am and waited in the waiting room. We were called at around 10:50 and a nice lady officer invited us to her room. First she introduced herself and took our oath. Then we sat down and she asked my husband his for personal info and ID (he's the USC). Then she asked me for my info (name, date of birth, parents name etc, when I entered the US last time and where). Then she started asking me the questions from the I485 and on the first one there was a problem. On part 3 question number C you need to list organizations you were a member of, and I wasn't in any so I wrote "none", but I didn't notice that it included military and I did serve in the military and I did answer yes on the specific questions about the military and weapon training and even attached a letter explaining what I did. It was an honest mistake. So at the beginning she was kinda mean about it but she kept asking the questions and reached to the ones where I said... read complete review

First of all, our interview time was for 11:35. We were there early and went in a little past 11am. They were pretty busy, we didn't end up getting called until 12:30 and then the interview took about twenty minutes (I think the actual interview took longer than my visa interview, lol). We both went in together and sat down, the interviewer asked for our ID's and my passport with the I-94 and took that out of my passport. Then asked us to stand for the oath. After that he asked us a bunch of questions like parents names, our birthdays etc and ticked off our answers on our paperwork. He also asked some of the 'have you ever...' questions that were on the I-485. After that we talked a little about Oz ( he was there a few times with the navy) then he asked when we were married, a bunch of questions about how/when we met. Asked us about the first time we met in person. Then asked us for some evidence of sharing address and some wedding photos. He kept all of the evidence that we gave him, ... read complete review

Our appointment was 7.20AM, we got called around 7.45AM. The IO is an old Caucasian gentleman. He took us to the small room and told us to take the oath. He explained we would be recorded for legal causes, and he might separate us during the interview to have better decision. And we said no problems at all. He started asking basic questions like names, DOB, current address, current marriage place and time and asked us to provide original IDs, passports, I-94, old work permit, original lease, bank statements. He took my I-94 and OPT work permit and said I wouldn't need them anymore. We were like "oh it is so easy, we are so blessed..." He asked who the co-sponsor was (my father in laws.) Suddenly, he said you two would be separated for the interview, and asked who would be first. I volunteer to be first, and he walked my wife (USC) to the employee waiting room.
*** My interview questions:
1. How did you meet her?
2. How many siblings does she... read complete review

I had my AOS interview this morning at phoenix and was approved eventhough my husband was not with me. I came there 20 mins before my appointment. After going thru the scanning machine, i was directed to window # 1 where the uscis staff will take your appointment letter and ask you to have a sit and wait for your name to be called. The waiting was longer than the interview. Here are the questions that the co asked me:
- where is your husband?
- where was he stationed before? Why are you here in az?
- what is your dob?
- what is your phone #?
- where did you met? How?
The co then signed and stamped the paper in front of him. Didnt even look at my album or asked for any add'l documents from me. Then he gave me a paper that says i was recommended for approval. I only stayed in the office for 5 mins. It was a very smooth experience. Goodluck everyone especially to travis and meghan.
