Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Hi guys,
Just got back from the interview in Philly. I was approved with name check pending Oh well...
We were there by 8 am for our 8:30 am interview. The guards checked our IDs and appt. letter. The guards were very pleasant and friendly.
Went to the 3rd floor and handed the appt. letter to the receptionist, another polite and helpful lady.
About 8:35am, a female officer called my last name and we followed her to her office.
Went into her room and took the oath.
First thing she asked was to see my passport.
She asked to give her all photocopies of supporting evidences and I gave health insurance policies, life insurance, pension plan and joint bank account statements. She asked whose insurance and I said mine, provided by my employer, and asked when did I add my husband to the policy. I said in May, after we got married.

She asked for deed account or lease and I said we do not have those since we live in diff. places. ... read complete review

After a seven month delay (we were originally scheduled for Nov 27, 2006), our interview was very easy, very quick. No one asked me any questions; my husband asked and answered about 15 questions. Judge said “you’re approved.” Government’s attorney asked us to wait a week before returning for my husband's passport and “packet”. Got the passport(not stamped) but nothing else.

Interview was very easy asked about our first meeting and has Anna met my family. We brought pictures of family Christmas St Pats party etc.
It was pretty straigh forward. She said we were approved and we showed tickets that Anna was flying back to Russia for a couple of weeks and the woman interviewer made copies of them and stamped Anna's passport. Green card arrived 11 days later.

It went very well! The Officer was really nice. She looked at our photos and other forms of proof, asked how we met and asked to see our birth certificates. It was very nice and time flew even though it was 30 minutes. All together it was a good experience.

Turned up around 30 mins before the interview (after staying the night in Philly). Through security, up the lift and into a bland waiting room. There were about 8 other people there. About 10 mins after my appointment time, the wife and I were called into the interview. We were interviewed by a rather stern (or professional, depending on how you look at it). She got us to swear to tell the truth, and told us to sit down. Passports handed over, and the questioning began:

To me:

What are your in laws names?
Have you ever met them?
When was the last time you visited them?
How did you find where you currently live?
How much do you weigh?
What colour are your eyes? (twice!)

To my wife:

Why don't you use his surname?
Why did you move to PA?
Did your husband live in the house before you?

Then the "no" questions.
Then she asked for evidence of joint living.... read complete review
