Our interview was quick but the wait was long. We spent about two hours in total at the office. Our officer was a really nice gentleman. He clearly reviewed our file before we entered his office based on the convo we had to and from his office. We brought our baby girl to the interview, which was a big plus in his eyes. Even before asking any questions, he said he was going to approve us. He only asked my husband for his new number and asked me my mom's name, dad's name and if I had ever committed any crimes and that was it. I kept asking him if he didn't have any other questions or wanted to see more evidence. I told him I had photos that I would like him to look at and he did. I think he kept three to please me. I asked if he wanted the Tax Transcripts for the three years as I had brought them (just in case) and he said no.
The interview was more of a little chat. We thought it was going to be difficult based on other people's experience. We were expecting him to ask ... read complete review

My interview was scheduled for 7:10am. Waiting time was about 30 mins. I was the third person to be called in for the interview. The interview officer was very polite and courteous. The interview lasted for approximately 20-25 mins.

N-400 Interview 5/3/16 @ Oakland Park FL. Arrived early, but interview actually started 70 minutes after my scheduled appointment time.
Interviewer spent a lot of time on the topic of my two first name changes. Then asked about income taxes (5 minutes). Then more discussion of name changes, and I got RFE'd (N-14) for documentation of a first name change that was done by my parents during childhood (I was about 1 year old at the time).
Interviewer asked for green card, reviewed N-400, asked questions from N-400, returned to the name change / N-14 topic, then abruptly started the Civics test.
Civics questions (as numbered in the USCIS Civics Questions Guide) were:
1) What is one promise you make when you become a United States citizen? (#53)
2) Who is the Governor of your state now? (#43)
3) Where is the Statue of Liberty? (#95)
4) What movement tried to end racial discrimination? (#84)
5) W... read complete review

This was our 3rd interview; it went smoothly and got approved the same day.
Our first interview was on May 30th 2013, then the file went to another officer and she told us that the first officer had note the file saying I was fishing for a green card. She questioned me on my previous 2 marriages and at the end said she needed to read my whole file before making a decision. After 2 months, no decision, we went to complain and were told the officer went on leave and no one had touched the file, so they sent it back to the first officer (the one that said I was trying to fish for a GC) and he approved it finally.
