In and out in one hour. AOS Interview was scheduled for 1pm. Arrived on federal building at 12:15pm. Had to do airport-style screening in front door. Went up to 14th floor to sign in and wait in comfortable room with a few other AOS/N-400 applicants. Got called in at 12:40 and was interviewed by middle-aged Asian lady.
Interview took 15 minutes. No photos reviewed; just pay stubs, identity documents, and very simple questions. Very straightforward and professional. There was a bit of concern over the date that our officiant had used in the California marriage certificate, but the IO admitted she wasn't familiar with CA procedures.
Walked out of the building by 12:55 confident that we passed. Sure enough, uscis.gov just sent card production notice.

Really great experience. We waited about 25 mins. after our appointment time, which wasn't too bad. They were moving through the interviews quite efficiently. The interview officer was very kind and considerate but very professional. He took our oath, asked a few biographic questions for the foreign spouse, asked really simple questions re: the marriage, first met, proposal, first lived together, etc. Asked for birth certificate and marriage license. The officer was very efficient and kind. Overall, it was really a nice experience. As it should be! If you have a legitimate marriage and you've followed all the instructions every step of the way during the application process exactly as required, everything really should be fine. When a marriage is legit, it shows! Overall it was a very good experience. We were a bit nervous, as can be expected for most couples I think. But once we started talking the the officer it felt natural to talk about our relationship. Which is good! Always be ho... read complete review

Although we were accepted 45 minutes after our interview time, process was simple and easy. People were very respectful and the location was clean and up to date.

My experience was awesome for the most part! First let me say our appointment was at 10:30am, we got there at like 10am. At first we went into the wrong building (the one next to the one we had to go in, in front of the court). So when we arrived an elderly lady said we had to wait for our lawyer, he showed up two minutes later, then we gave her our appointment paper and went to sit. We were waiting for so long then, after 2hours (around 12:30pm) our lawyer went and asked how long and they said they would try to find our officer, we werent taken until like perhaps 1:30pm, it was horrible. i know for a fact that they forgot to give our file to someone and even check us in. By the time they called us the room had only a few people left! so why do i say it was awesome? The officer that interviewed us was a retired NYPD detective and he was great, of course my stomach had tiny knots throughout the interview (naturally) but he made us feel at ease, he asked us questions we should know, rath... read complete review
