My experience was awesome for the most part! First let me say our appointment was at 10:30am, we got there at like 10am. At first we went into the wrong building (the one next to the one we had to go in, in front of the court). So when we arrived an elderly lady said we had to wait for our lawyer, he showed up two minutes later, then we gave her our appointment paper and went to sit. We were waiting for so long then, after 2hours (around 12:30pm) our lawyer went and asked how long and they said they would try to find our officer, we werent taken until like perhaps 1:30pm, it was horrible. i know for a fact that they forgot to give our file to someone and even check us in. By the time they called us the room had only a few people left! so why do i say it was awesome? The officer that interviewed us was a retired NYPD detective and he was great, of course my stomach had tiny knots throughout the interview (naturally) but he made us feel at ease, he asked us questions we should know, rather than the ridiculous questions that no married couple would (like what color is her toothbrush??) know unless they studied it! which is what i think they expect sometimes. He asked each of us each others names, date of birth, parents names, how we met, first date, where each other was born, how long we dated before marriage, are we planning on kids, where did we get married etc)and he asked for pics too and about some vacations we took. It was perhaps the most pleasant interview. We only wished we told our lawyer to stay home. He was more a mess than we were!! good luck every one!I know it's nerve racking looking for every step that follows, biometrics appt, interview, work authorization, green card but our processing time was less than 3 months! I was a student on a f-1 visa and my hubby is a citizen. My GC came less than 2 weeks after the interview
