Interviewed by a man , 55-60 yrs.
First both stand up, holding up your right hand and swearing in....when he ask us to sit down he right away ask my hubby if he has a job.
Then asking how we met and where we live.
Asked me if involved in any crime, prostitution, spionage or terrorism.
First proof or paper he ask for as addition to what we first sent in the application was the sealed vaccination history letter from a US Surgeon (make sure you do this before interview). Then only Condo lease...that's it ...
We were surprised because the Officer gave us a paper that stated I was approved and told us "Congrats"...we have read that others were not told if they made it or not.

Hello VJ's,
We had our AOS interview on 8/4/09 at 7:15am for my husband(K1) and his 2 kids(K2, age 13 and 15). The interview went very well. Here's a recap of that day.
We got there at 6:30am and we waited outside till USCIS was open at 7:15am along with other people also. At the door, the guard asked for ID/passport and the appt letter. We had three appt letters, one for my husband and each for the 2kids. The 2nd guard inside the room took the appt letters from us and had our bags checked. We were told to sit down and wait for our names to be called. We just sat about 5min when my husband's name was called. We all stood up and walked over to the person. He wanted to verify my husband's name and the kids names and who I was. I told the person that I was the petioner and petitioning my husband and his 2kids. We were told to have a sit and wait again. About 5min later, we were called again by the same person to verify our names, the appt date and time and wh... read complete review

Our appointment was scheduled for 8am, today, 9/29/08. We arrived at 7:30, gained entry and sat down. We were called at 7:55 and Don Suter swore us in and we got started. His first question was how we met, not addresses to either on of us specifically, so I (USC) answered. Then as he was paging thru the huge file, he had some small questions about previous marriages and children. Very laid back and informal. He then went thru about 50% of the 'terrorist, prostitute, srug questions' with my wife, and he was vary patient and slow, making sure she understood. He asked for any paperwork we had regarding a relationship (bank statements, credit cards, etc) and took the copies we brought. A few more minutes and a few more simple questions, and he said that there was only 1 problem. The vaccination fom filled out by the doctor in Thailand, the shots were complete, but for some reason, Don says, the doctors always mark the 'Incomplete' box on the bottom. And that is a snag. Fortunate... read complete review

Well, my husband, daughter and I went to the Las Vegas office for our Adjustment of Status interviews. My daughter and I are applying, and my husband is the US Citizen. We were both scheduled for 8:45am and we didn't have too long to wait before they called for my daughter. For some reason, we were being interviewed separately, even though my daughter isn't even 2!
The interviewer we had, we could barely understand. He then proceeded to tell us that we didn't need to file the I-130 or I-485 for my daughter because her father is a citizen. I informed him that we were unable to make it to the Consulate in Canada while my husband was in Canada following her birth, but we needed proof of her residency before we can file for citizenship. He then waived her originally applications and transferred us to someone else to adjudacate my applications.
While with the second interviewer, he couldn't understand why the first officer was waving my daughter's application ... read complete review
