Review Topic: Naturalization

Arrival: With a 9:20 appointment, and 2 hour drive to my field office, I gave myself way more time than needed and arrived at 8:15. The field office in Indy is only a couple of blocks from the interstate, and has a free parking lot, so access is really easy. I passed my time reviewing my flash cards and entered the building at 9am. The building has several different organizations, so you have to sign in at the front desk and let them know that you're there for USCIS (the entire sign-in sheet was people going to USCIS). They then direct you to the elevators to go up to USCIS's floor.

Security check: The security screening team were very friendly, they made small talk with everyone as they were processed, things like "You're here for the ceremony, you're going to become a citizen today, it's a great day!"

Check-in: After security, I was directed to the check-in desk. They checked my interview letter and greencard, and direct... read complete review

went in, There was no long lines, though security took a little bit, went to the check in desk, and only a couple minutes later we were called in. The Immigration officer was clear and nice, of course asking us some repeated questions but thats expected. And overall a good experience! No hassle or dilly dalling. We got there 45 minutes before my interview time just to make sure we knew where everything was as well as time for getting gas and coffee. Other than that got approved for a conditional green card for two years.

They were right on time, and it was not very busy. The people who helped us were professional but courteous, and even helped me calm down when I was really nervous.

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Had an interview on October 10th at 12.15 pm. We arrived at about 11.45 am. Parking was a little tight but we found a spot. We went through airport like security and were asked to submit the appointment letter to window 2. At 12.30 pm officer asked the husband (USC) to come inside. Officer asked for documents (bank statements, health and car insurance, mail, etc). Then swore the husband in and started asking questions:
When did you started dating?
When did you get married?
Did the wife meet husband's parents?
When was the last time you and your wife saw your parents?
When was the last time you and your wife saw other members of the family?
What was your day like yesterday?
What did you have for dinner last night?
What is your favorite pizza place?

There were some more questions about our relationships too. It lasted for about 25 minutes.

Then the officer interviewed the wife (beneficiary). He swore in... read complete review

Went in earlier this week for my AOS interview. Very pleasant experience, agent was very friendly and efficient. We arrived probably 30 minutes early, and the interview itself couldn't have lasted more than 20 minutes. Green card is due to arrive within a week of the interview.
